I charged to 97% before I knew it on the Tesla charger and I’ve come over to Invergarry, to a beautiful peaceful campsite at Faichemard farm. W3W address - funny.pine.performed.
There’s pine trees around funnily enough but the midges seem to enjoy me here 😂

The campsite in all its glorious mess. Such a beautiful evening with virtually no breeze and a promising 8C minimum overnight so I’ll use the tent.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience regarding mods and insurance issues, i have just learnt from a detailing forum i follow that some insurance companies are really strict.
For instance, mine will refuse insurance claims if car is ceramic coated, full stop, they will cancel your insurance and invalidate your claim.

That's ridiculous.
Don't tell um, it's Ceramic Coated, simple as that. How on earth would they know.
Unless you was daft enough to tell um.
I'm all for declaring mods, but that's a step to far. 🙄🤪

I'm pretty sure that the Insurance Ombudsman has previously ruled (several times) that insurers cannot void a policy where a missed declaration (e.g. such as coating or PPF) has no bearing on the cause of the claim. All they can do is claim any amount of insurance premium increase (if at all) that would have arisen from the declaration, either as an additional payment from the insured or as a reduction in the claim payout.

All good points, i will certainly be saying nothing😎.
Madness.

Sided with insurer.

Quote…
Had Aviva been fully aware of the coating they’ve said they’d not have continued to insure the risk. But on the other hand, Mr M now has a car that doesn’t have the benefit of the additional ceramic paint that he paid extra for.

On balance, I don’t find that Aviva have treated Mr M unfairly, unreasonably or that Mr M has lost out in relation to this point - and I won’t seek to interfere with their actions

It says if they were aware of the coating they would not continue to insure, they had already paid for repairs before he told them otherwise they would have already cancelled it.
