WOW. That's a lot of damage to yours and the Transit. For just 20 mph. Scary.
The front of the car was also damaged due to him being pushed into the Volvo in front.
It was my brothers car and after ringing his insurance company to question the price of his renewal this year, they have told him that the claim had not even been settled yet after almost 6 months !.
Apparently, it’s in the hand of the transit guy insurance company who are using their solicitor.
Maybe they are trying to contest the claim due to the cost involved.
They are looking at paying out on my brothers car and the Volvo that he hit as part of the rear end collision

with his ZS EV.
All seems a bit futile really, when you consider both the ZS and the Volvo was stationary in a traffic grid lock, which is totally normal on that stretch of road.
The guy in the transit had only had the car a week, when he was taking it back to garage, because the brake warning light kept coming on ?.
Interesting to note that he had his mobile phone in a craddle stuck to the windscreen, was he messing about on his phone and did not see that the traffic had stopped ?.
The police attended the accident due to the traffic congestion and they did test his brakes and all appeared fine at the pedal.
Maybe this is the angle the legal team are looking at ?.
The driver was bagged, but was clear.
My brother was paid out in less than 2 weeks by HIS insurance company.
Of course he has had to declare the accident when he was looking to renew his car insurance, this is how he found out that the insurance claim is still outstanding.
