My dealer said on my enquiry that he would chase it up and came back an hour or so later saying that it was here (in the country), how come others on this forum have chassis numbers, build date, shipping details etc and my dealer is kept in the dark?

Best bet is to ask them for weekly / fortnightly updates. The system should show them what the status is

That’s me signed up to CPS @siteguru and I’ve ordered one of the cards. I see you can use the charging stations with either the RFID card or the smartphone app. Is there a benefit to using one or other do you know or is it just ease of convenience?

On a related note, it looks like I’ll be using CPS sooner rather than later as my Zappi has stopped working. ? I unlocked the car and sat down to check the charge %. It said 79% which was good as I had set it to 80%. I saw an infotainment message saying charging had stopped though and went to look at the Zappi. It said there was a comms fault (did I do something I wasn’t supposed to do?) and that I should press and hold for 3 seconds whereupon it started doing a firmware update which led to the following strange list of codes/numbers. Now, nothing works on the Zappi. I’ve sent a message to myEnergi support and joined their forum. First day of using the Zappi and doh! ?

They gave me an estimated arrival date of mid-April so I looked at what is coming into Bristol around that time that has been to Shanghai and I got the Olympian Highway. Roughly 3-4 weeks from that date which matched his mid-May delivery date.

How do you track your order? I have the MG order number but have no way of tracking it.

My dealer was able to tell me which ship my car was on and then I used a ship tracking website.

I'm going to have no choice but to use public chargers until I move in May. Luckily Hammersmith & Fulham council went over the top with charging points and we have roughly 3000 of them in the borough. I've got around 30 within a 5 minute walk, just in my street we now have 4 lamp post chargers with another 2 to go in next month

Wow! That sounds more than adequate. There are about six within a five minute drive from my home, though admittedly it’s rather rural.

Yep we have been very lucky that we have a council that has seized the opportunity to get a decent network in and most areas have Whatsapp groups where they share when they are leaving a charger so someone else can jump on as at present the lamppost chargers don't have dedicated bays

That's not good at all, our council seem to have a sensible strategy for encouraging the uptake of EV's not only with the infrastructure but they offer free permits for parking as well saving £120 a year. The breakdown of what they have installed/ allowed to be installed is

Meanwhile, my home town has 5x 7kW AC posts in council car parks, costing 75p/kWh, and the 8-stall Tesla Supercharger site a mile out of town is one of the public ones.
Glad I have a drive and working wallbox!

If I hadn't had the infrastructure around me that I have I would not have ordered an EV until I was able to have a driveway

The car was ordered 19th Nov. Told 8 weeks at the time but i wanted march 1st and they aimed for end march.

Was told 24 feb it was in docks and today its arrived at dealership.

Three red and two white. All are SE LR.

Mine if it matters is on the right!

Cant see much of a bulge on underneath and no sign of oil. Seats are not rippled. Granny charger in boot.

Yes I think this likely. I've had an email to say the dealer has had a reg and chassis number for our Red Trophy as of Monday, and they are awaiting a delivery slot from MG (we're having it delivered from Birmingham).
