No live traffic information suddenly

A few days ago the live traffic information stopped working on my MG4 navigation system.
The sim signal icon is showing full strength as normal, but there are is no traffic information on the map, and clicking the "cars" symbol brings up the message "no traffic events".
The car is just over 8 months old.
Posting here to see if it's an issue that anyone else has experienced.

Is this to do with the amount of data we now have on the car's SIM? (I don't use the Traffic feature, prefer Google on my phone, as I have Unlimited Data, so no need to worry about it...)

Thank you for replying. I hadn't noticed, but weather had stopped working too.

I went into settings on the weather app, found that live updates were off, turned them on, whereupon live weather and live traffic both started working again!

That's what occurred to me, but doesn't appear to be the case, as it's working again now.

Same problem here . What software version are you using, mine is r33.

The root cause of the issue is the eSim giving a message of network connection not available, please try later

How do I know this? Well the car does not log me in, and if I press the user button, the hourglass just goes round.

The eSIM is working because full signal strength and ittransmits data to the Ismart app

But comes out with that network message when trying to log me in. And because of that fail has no traffic.

The weather app has never worked from when I bought the car brand-new two months ago in March.

Mine is a 74 plate Trophy ER with latest software, infotainment version r63.
I 've never had a problem with iSmart or logging in, even when the traffic updates weren't working, so it doesn't sound like your issue.was the cause of my problem.
As I said above, I found that the live weather had somehow been set to off; when I turned it back on, live traffic started working again.
Curiously, I found that if I turn the live weather updates off again, live traffic stays on.

Indeed, your Traffic problem was different.

Funnily enough tonight, I toggled the data switch off and my Apple Watch moments later said that I have declined the privacy!!

So I checked the privacy setting and it was still positioned at accepting things. So somehow the car may have a eSIM privacy fault. Maybe that explains why it doesn’t login, despite sending data to the I-smart app

Totally annoying when I am going to have to wait two months for a garage visit. Or drive 100 miles to another region.
