Random bong noise

Hi. Had car serviced and software updated. Lane assist a lot better heating showing better realistic temperature now.
Only issue I have that I get a random bong sound.
Nothing showing on screens.
Very random.
Has anybody experienced this and if so does anybody know what it is.

Mine has always emitted random bongs and chimes with nothing on the screen - we just ignore it now. Alarm fatigue, which means you may miss real warnings that need some action.

Hi yes speed sign recognition is on. Happens when no speed signs about.

I get occasional low volume bongs on my 2025 MG4 with all aids but collision assistance turned off. Mine happen when hitting potholes so I think it might be the traction control. I hate the car bonging all the time. I do know how to drive! Brands Hatch Race trained and took an advanced driver course! When there are no bongs I am happy, concentrating on driving.

Mine seems to throw random Speed warnings for no real reason, well inside the speed limit. I have just tuned them out with the Grey Filter.

Hi yes speed sign recognition is on. Happens when no speed signs about.

Perhaps it may be worth turning it off and testing ?

Mine has done this from new which is frustrating as I use android auto and it dims the volume
There's also an issue where Android auto stays at the dimmed volume, I have to switch playback apps to get it to go back to normal volume

Glad it’s not just me having this issue. Hopefully get a fix somewhere for it

Yes I have been getting these too, and the android auto sound dip as well. I just put to down to a quirk of the car. The software isnt perfect, but its a lot better than it used to be.
