Service Plan UK seems very strangely priced?

Morning all,

Am looking at the HS PHEV and asked for service plan price. Have now received quote but seems very odd that it costs more to have the plan than it does to pay separately at the due time. Appreciate prices would increase over 3 years but still, anyone else looking in to this?

Service 2 at 30k or 24 months = £371.02
Service 3 at 45k or 36 months = £573.77 (ouch!)
Total of above = £1188.45

3 yr service plan assuming 10k pa (not 15k) and exc MOT = £1229.25

Is it me?

That seems more sensible HermitDave, I'm back up at the dealer in about an hour so will double check as £36.15/mth on my quote vs £20.88 on yours is a big difference over 36 months!

Mine also says the dealer charges £1.20/mth admin fee so there is clearly no discount for signing up, simply a case of spreading the costs. Having had Kia/Hyundai in the past you always got a discount. Doesn't explain the wildly different service pricing though, if anything would have though Cheshunt may be more than North Wales. Will update when I get back from dealers later.

Thanks Dragonfly, my local dealer says it is possible its wrong as they have to put a reg number in to get a quote so they used a demo model as I was looking at brand new. Is going to double check as I pointed out the difference between my quote and that from HermitDave for the same thing were over £500 different over the 3 years.
