So count me in for the 12 volt discharged battery problem

Of course you can. Mine stood still and unused for more than 5 weeks in Feb-Mar this year. Operated like it was used the day before when I got back. Again in June, sat for 15 days and again, no issues whatsoever driving it away when I got back.

Sweeping statements such as "the fact that you can't leave th non-working car. e car for two weeks unattended" are totally unfounded and incorrect.
However that is what I experienced and it left me with a dead car. I totally agree with you. But i am not the one to take the fight with the "big guys". Let's leave it as it is, but it might be a warning for some of us.

It seems the trick is to have the traction battery over 60% charge, that way the 12v battery gets charged. Somewhere below 60% it doesn't get charged.

There are a few traps with these cars, that aren't widely known.

Yes, something to watch out for as there's always a risk, which is why a lot of us go prepared to airport carparks with jump starter power packs hidden under the seats and physical keys etc. !!

TBF though, 12v batterys have been known to deteriorate quickly in many other electric/hybrid cars too, especially those not used a lot.
