As you all know the BEST charging network outside your home is TESLA. So whenever I travel I just look for nearest Tesla charger to me. But I got a shock today. Per usual I opened my app and drove to the nearest Tesla charger , however, when I got there I noticed they are the latest Tesla chargers but it is managed by another company EV OTM. I was indifferent until I checked the price.Tesla chargers usually charge around 52p/kWh. But these chargers where 72p/kWh.

So, we need to be careful when using Tesla app and look for Tesla chargers. Now you need to look at the operator too.

According to the Interwebs
"EV OTM, or EV On the Move, is a brand used by EG On the Move, a UK-based company that operates petrol stations and is expanding into electric vehicle (EV) charging. They utilize rebranded Tesla Superchargers at some locations, such as Finmere services. These chargers can be used by both Tesla owners and other EVs with CCS compatibility."

... thats always been the case since the EG group decided to use Tesla chargers, which was about 2 years ago (the 1st one was Uttoxeter- link) - the pricing on the Tesla app is quite clear.

And beware of charging at Tesla Heathrow. The Tesla app warns of a parking charge of £6.50 for the first hour (which then increases). Yet the Tesla website /find a supercharger makes no mention of the parking fee

The Tesla superchargers near me in Derby are in a multistory car park so you have to pay the parking fee to use them.

Comments about parking fee and number plate registration are not solely a Tesla issue, lots of charging sites are the same. The local Sainsbury's has 4 podpoint which have a 10 minute parking limit period outside of opening hours.

Fully agree. The point I was making was that the app warned of a parking fee yet the website did not.

The ones in Derby (if you mean the Derbion) are free parking for 20 minutes. Although you need to be in and out of the barrier within 20 mins. I use them late evening when it's cheaper. Only issue is the max speed is c.80Kw

I would say, that the Derbion has terrible width issues on the barriers, so if people are using go slow, and don't take bigger cars in as the amount of times I've been charging there and seen new cars mess their wheels up using the barrier is un-real.
