To be fair, a friend had an alfa 147 as a company car at one point and both doors “fell off” at different times when the welded hinges broke off the door frame

The charge port from an SE SR for comparison - certainly single phase. So if you can see anything in the L2/L3 slots then it's almost certainly 11kW 3-phase capable.

Hi, I have plugged my Trophy into a 22kW 3 Phase supply and can confirm that it charges at 11kW (9.5kW to the batteries).

Here is what my connection looks like and my charging screen:

For the SE LR owners like me i can confirm my December 2022 build, 23/3/2023 registration has all the pins fitted.

Not used a 22kw charger yet tho

Glad to hear that, as I've got no home charger I'll be relying on public chargers and 11kW on my Trophy will save a few hours.

Yep. Picked mine up last week and got 3 phase on a 22kw chargepoint

I just got a 2022 MG4 Trophy Long Range as a long term rental car atm, it has the extra pins for rapid charging but I keep reading conflicting reports on how fast this car will charge. Has a standard type 2 cable with it. Can anyone confirm?

If by "standard" you mean "single-phase" then it'll charge the car at up to 6.6kW (which is the rating of the onboard charger). Use a 3-phase cable (rated to 32A per phase) then he'll get up to 11kW (more like 9.8kW) from a 3-phase charge point (typically 22kW), or up to 6.6kW from a single-phase wall box.

Hi, the extra pins on the type2 socket are not for rapid charging.
The two separate pins below the type2 are for the CCS rapid connector.

Slow = below 7kW, 3-pin granny or Type 2
Fast = 7-22kW, via Type 2 (note MG4 LR can only do 11kW, SR 7kW)
Rapid = 22-50kW, via CCS
Ultra Rapid = 100kW+, via CCS

We have just taken delivery of our MG4 Trophy today and I can confirm it is supplied with the right port for three phase charging. I have a three phase supply at home and have just topped it up at a charging speed of 10.7kw so it is clearly not limited to 7kw.
