Which Country Will SAIC Choose for Its European Factory?

There's talk that MG might set up a factory in Europe to get around import taxes. Any guesses on which country they might choose?

Despite all the obstacles in the way, such as high wages, high taxes, not being in the EU, and the general apathy of the UK workforce, I'm going to throw the UK into the mix.

That's going to be a big obstacle - unless tariffs can be sorted.

The SAIC Glocal plan announced at the latest Shanghai Motor show said these we the plans for plants outside of China, new manufacturing bases in Thailand, Indonesia, India and Pakistan

None of these countries have a free trade agreement with the EU, they must be established in a country in Europe or they must choose countries with which they have an agreement, such as Turkey.

Maybe they can take advantage of the new FTA between India and the UK and route cars to the rest of Europe that way
