Window tinting pictures request

The front windows have no tint on them so you can get them tinted within the legal requirements. I didn’t go for darkest shade in the rear, just dark enough to not be able to see in properly. I was impressed with iTint btw he made and a good job and very reasonably priced considering how long it took.

Thank you Brian I appreciate the info . I think I will get the front windows tinted as I don't like not having any protection from UV etc. I have emailed mg as suggested above also just for more peace of mind to get them to confirm that the window has not tint to start with. Thanks for your response again and I will post some pics when o get mine tinted. Won't be until 1st July tho lol.

Send an email request to MG UK, asking them to confirm the front windows are not tinted and are clear glass, I had the same issue until I showed them the copy from them, you can test it yourself by opening the driver's window and put a sheet of A4 paper above and below the glass, there will be no noticeable difference, my fronts were done at minimum tint but gives UV protection not done by that company.

Don’t hold your breath waiting on a reply from MG! But the windows are definitely not tinted. Hundreds of ZS models on our roads with the front windows tinted too. Its a common theme on FB groups.

Hi Brian I see you got your car tinted at itint is this Glasgow? Only reason I ask is that I have my car booked in there and wondered what you thought if them? Also can I ask what percentage of shade did you go for? I got a lot of quotes from a few different places and a lot of them said the front was illegal to get tinted as they come with a natural tint so by them putting there tint ontop it makes it exceed the 70 percent allowed.
I would like my front ones tinted as I like the look but don't want to be braking the law so did they put you at ease about this?

Hi All, just to chime in on this one. The good tint shops actually measure/check the glass to see what if any tint is applied from the factory. They can then advise specifically for your car. As others have confirmed the ZS EV (and all MG's I'm told) don't have any tint on the glass except for the sunroof. Here in Australia our primary motivation for the tinting was UV protection and heat reflection so didn't go as dark with the colour.

I just spoke to my local global tints and they want £310 to do entire car. £210 for just behind the B post.

I had a quote from them and it was more expensive even after the discount than where I am booked into. They do have good reviews tho. So do the place I am booked into aswell so went for the cheaper quote

Just for you guys info I got a response from MG and I will attach it here. As previously stated by Dave in this post MG has confirmed the front windows to have no tint. They also put a warning about it may effect your warranty also.

Hi all I am thinking of getting my windows tinted but wanted to see if anyone can post any pictures to let me see how it looks?
I am not sure if I want to only get the back windows tinted to the darkest I can go or to go with back and front also.

tinted windows is a must, at least here in Mallorca, the sun can burn you if you did not tint the windows...temperature its a lot cooler with the sun...
I use the soltek gray 5 tinted that have a homologation and they give you the paper for the ITV (tecnical inspections)

Yes. All done by global tint. Front sides are just glare reduction with UV protection

the tinting does look nice. Would you recommend global tint? Did they charge you a package or did you have to pay extra for the front?
