I had a minor sideway "adventure too. Since CC2's had no issues, feels so much more planted
Not had that with mine. I'm still on the OEM tyres, I've had them chirp on pulling away a few times but that's nothing compared to the ridiculous squealing from my old FWD Focus ST with just over half the power.

The sideways just adds to the excitement, it's the 360* viewing through the windscreen and trying to catch the look on the drivers faces as they flash across the viewing area that really gets the heart going, but I am impressed with the way all 4 tyres let go at the same time ..... almost get to stay on your side of the road as you go round ......

LKA doesn’t work for a lot of us
Some suggestions;
-ignore the regulators etc - give us a 4 star car that doesn’t force LKA on at start up
-change the function of the wheel ACC button. When ACC is off, make long press disable LKA
-remove the confirm step on the touch screen

When we choose traction control off, turn it off
Its dangerous when im pulling out onto the highway on a blind corner, for the car to completely lose power when traction control is turned off and the wheels spin. There is a special place in hell for whichever engineer was responsible for that

Not sure I'm getting what you're meaning ... if the wheels spin whilst TC is Off then surely that's working as intended? Or are you meaning that it detects the wheels starting to spin so cuts the power, even if TC is Off? (So TC is never really Off fully).

Yup, it detects the wheels starting to spin so cuts the power, even if TC is Off. So TC is never really Off fully

Could it be a system designed to save the motor from damage when the wheels start spinning? It may not be intended to act as a form of TC, even if it effectively does so.

I suspect it's a software nanny to prevent unskilled owners from sending their cars sideways into shrubberies. But … I bought a car with 600 Nm and 4 wheel drive for a reason. Instead of letting me use it, the car does the exact opposite- it hobbles itself. I’ve got one place in particular where in normal everyday driving I need to be careful (traction control on or off) to only give it half throttle to prevent being stranded on a highway in a dangerous spot unable to accelerate.

most likely its a star rating thingy ( not unlike the 5 star rating requires LKA on by default to achieve the rating)

There is a fuse ive been told by a MG dealer that if you pull it out NO more TC , stability control..

Which one i dont know !!

Never bothered to go looking for it ..

Unskilled or not the car isnt made for 320kw and 600nm with out driver aids ..

Im not sure even in the hands of a very skilled driver that the weight the power and the chassis is up to the task of the sheer grunt the car has without the aids ..

Frankly ive be scared to bother with trying to find the fuse to turn off TC stability control as like ive said i dont think the car as a whole is upto it ..

My volvo s60 t6 r design was 250kw and that car was built and built well enough to handle it in all conditions the MG4 X power is a cheap road legal rocket that is WAY to powerful for its means !!

Ive noticed though in most cases wet or dry less throttle results in better take off with out the TC stepping in and shutting down power ..

All the while still getting off the mark quite fast !!

better responding and bigger touch screen, wireless carplay, better line keeping assistant not like ping pong, may be ambient lighting...

The critical improvement for me would be for it to stay in speed limit mode. It stays in ACC mode, but who lives by a motorway?
After that, single button custom modes, like those on modern cameras, so I could set ACC and LKA on for motorways, and speed limiter and LKA off for everywhere else at the touch of a button on the sterring wheel.
As for rain sensitive wipers: only if they actually work reliably, or can be disabled to stick with manual control. Those on our Zoe were just annoying.

A rather mundane requirement from me after about a month of driving.

Adjustable seatbelt height on the mounting pillar. I'm 6'4" and to have the seatbelt correctly over my shoulder at all times, I have to set the seat low and forward of where I would like it.

I have the basic model MG4.

Light in the back rear seating area

The other bits requested maybe nice but would put the price up and I like how cheap it is.

That's definitely one of my wish-list items too. It's an economy too far. Fortunately mine clear my garage doors unfolded, but it's still silly not to have it. It was my "disappointed" moment when I got home, too. That and the inability to disable the automatic central locking, but at least that's a bug they may fix some day.
It's not a "bug". Cars I have owned over the last 25 years have all had this auto lock feature when the car is moving feature. You obviously do not like the feature, with the MG4 just press the unlock button on the driver’s door once over 10 mph to unlock either the driver's door or all doors depending on how you have the unlock doors option set, then hope you don't get car jacked at the traffic lights.

Very surprised your VW didn't auto lock the doors.

I suspect it did ... but there was also a software option to turn Off that feature, and @Rolfe used it. The Trophy spec MG4 does have that software toggle - excluding it from the SE seems a cost cut too far, given that all the controls and hardware are already fitted to the car.

Correct. That has to start with improving things that are broken.
Stuart, I love my MG 4 long range, but the most annoying thing i find is when sat nav on i cannot see what is ahead as the direction indication is planted at top of screen when I expand to see what's ahead the screen very quickly returns to normal size. So annoying.

What all this feedback proves is that the MG4 is a good car spoiled by defective 'safety' software and a fair amount of penny-pinching (e.g. no rear interior light or front parking sensors). The more serious shortcomings have been repeatedly articulated above and they mostly revolve around the flawed attempt to obtain an NCAP 5-star safety rating by adding dysfunctional 'safety' aids which effectively remove safe control of the car from the driver and replace it with dangerous and autonomous actions by the car. I have repeatedly written to MG Motor Ltd and asked why they think it is OK to make and sell dangerous cars with defective software but no reply has been forthcoming. There should be a single button on the dashboard that allows the driver to choose to have full control of the vehicle and not have his/her actions compromised by defective computer systems

I have been driving for around 55 years and in my experience drivers fall into two distinct types. My type are the ones who give driving their undivided attention when in control of a motor vehicle and pride themselves on being safe and law-abiding. They may even have taken the trouble to pass the IAM test in their youth and enhanced their driving skills on motor racing circuits. Sadly, the other type of driver is now in the majority on our roads. They are not confined to white vans (meat pie in one hand, copy of the The Sun in the other hand and mobile phone on their shoulder) but they are just as dangerous because they regularly exceed speed limits and constantly allow their attention to be totally distracted. These are the people for whom modern cars like the MG4 are designed. Driver skill and responsibility is replaced by the car's computer and cameras in the misguided name of 'safety'. I have lost count of the number of friends who say they are looking forward to self-driving cars. Fortunately, I will be dead before that particular nightmare is visited on our already congested roads. For now, happy motoring and mind how you go
