You will find the car 'goes to sleep' after around 24hrs of inaction. iSmart won't wake it you have open the car.
Not true. I just got back from driving around town, put the car in the garage and it’s not working again. The thing is randomly unreliable!

The comment about 'sleep' is true. However, the connection with the servers is proving very unreliable at present.
See this thread MG iSmart 2.0 [merged] [ Moderator: Now merged. ]

Ever since v2 of iSmart app I just get a blank screen on my phone. I've been through the install, delete, reinstall cycle many times, but nothing. I installed and ran on a friend's Android phone. Investigating, my phone is stuck on Android v8; friends phone is Android v11.
OK, car's in for 12 month service I'll ask the service manager:
"Does v2 of iSmart not work on Android v8?" ... "Dunno, mate. You'll need to talk to MG." ... "Who at MG?" .... "Dunno, mate." ... "Can I get hold of v1 iSmart?" ... "Dunno, mate."
Persisting, I got nowhere. Can anyone out there get me somewhere?

Others have reported that v2 of the app no longer works with Android 8 (even though it is listed as being supported). See the big [Merged] thread. [ Moderator: Merged, so that's now this thread. ]

My iSmart app reconnected to the server this morning when I got a text and email saying the alarm had been triggered, presumably by a technician in the workshop. :)

How do you get this blowing mode where you can specify the front window etc? I can only turn on the AC and set temp.
On the front page of the App - on the right hand side, there is a “Front Window” tab.
If you select this, it will focus on clearing the front windscreen.
When the new App was first released, choosing this option, would default the HVAC to a LOW ( cold ) setting.
This was corrected on version 2.0.1 or v2 for IOS users.
I am running on version 2.0.3 now, but have not tried the front screen defrost yet, as the weather has now improved slightly 🤣.

The MG4 only has the options @ElBobo mentioned.
Please remember that this is a merged thread for all MG EVs that use the app.

This is a merged thread for all MG4s that use the app ... the merged thread for all EVs in in the General board. ;)

(Several of the model-specific boards also have their own app threads). :)

Mine is working. Any chance your car has gone to sleep?
Potentially, it’s been nearly 21 hours since I left it in its charging home. Any idea how long it normally is till sleep mode happens? Annoyingly my car is parked half a mile away so I can’t easily go wake it up.
