MG4 Mats Availability

Hope this is allowed, but if anyone is wanting some mats I bought some from car mats uk like other posters on here but cancelled my MG4 order for an MG5 Facelift. Willing to sell them for less than whatever car mat uk is selling them as just so I can get some money back and someone gets some car mats a bit cheaper. Literally unopened.
 
Good universal mats is your best bet, widely available but don’t buy really cheap ones. I would avoid carpets mats which is no doubt what MG will release as all the do is trap dirt and particularly moisture especially this time of year. Inside of the car will be sodden.

Is anyone aware of a boot mat available for the MG4 that has a fold out boot sill protection flap? I was hoping that carmats.co.uk might have had one available by now

The hatchbag company should have one soon. I'm the guinea pig getting a free one in return for letting them measure my car. It should be finished in a month or so. I'll update when it's ready.

They aren't cheap but are British made.

In Ireland the exclusive trim (trophy) gets mats and 2 charger cables…is that not the case in the U.K.?

They're not too far from me at all. Looking at their website, it's not quite what I'm after but it's definitely something to keep in mind if I can't find anything else. Thank you for sharing!
 
I got mats thrown in when I ordered .Initially they fitted mats from an MG 5 which I didn't want cos they (funnily enough) had "MG 5" stitched on them.
unfortunately one of the spinny lugs that hold them in place was missing at handover.
Advised my salesman of this who said they'd try to locate a replacement. Took it in for the door lock update last week, advised them again. Now they're both missing!
I'm not sure if the replacements are dedicated MG4 mats cos they just have "MG electric " stitched on them.
I'm sure it'll get sorted eventually I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

That’s so strange…they are absolutely flying out the doors in all dealers here (there’s only 5 mg dealers in Ireland I think) my dealer is selling 10 a day and 15-20 on a Saturday alone. I’m not sure why the U.K. which is a much bigger market is getting less favourable treatment, it’s usually us that gets stung with long wait times and worse deals on trim etc due to it being a smaller market.

I’m not complaining though! But I will be making sure the mats and cables are in the boot!

I wanted to know about tow bars, but they said the cars had just appeared and no information or availability of accessories yet. I got the impression it would be a few weeks.

Hi folks,

I have had a hiccup with my CarMats4U order that others may want to know about. We ordered the "Elite" mats (£99), but then I heard nothing back for a while. Called them just now - they don't send out the expensive mats until the customer has received a test fit kit first and confirmed the fit. I was supposed to get an email on this but didn't receive it so didn't know.

My guess is that this is because of fit problems before (in the early days, MG4s seemed to have the clips in inconsistent positions), but anyway now I have to wait for a test kit (couriered tomorrow) and then confirm and them I'll get my mats later next week when they've made them to order.

One positive from this is that at least the company are on top of the fit problem and proceeding very sensibly.

Yes, I think it is a good thing and they said it was mentioned in the small print somewhere but I fed back that I did not see it and could they please make it more prominent.
