😂 All joking aside, electric vehicles (combined with renewable energy) really are the future and with some sub £25,000 cars on the way from various manufacturers, combined with a burgeoning second-hard market the next five years ought to be bright for this technology.
You are quite right.

I had to "fill up" the courtesy car before returning it. There was a big queue at the "filling station" so I had to wait ten minutes for a spot. It was grubby and smelly and then I had to queue up to pay. The whole things was a sort of Dickensian nineteeth century experience!
 
Right, all seems to have gone well. She is on charge at home and we will see but the signs are good, taken 30 minutes so far which is far more than she was doing (failing within 5 minutes consistently).

The garage said CCU replacement went well, they have also done a bunch of module updates to improve various things including ACC, LKA, SOS phone (all things I mentioned).

They were almost astonished that it had been so smooth, which says a lot about the normal update experience!

And we've been put on R46, which I think is to try to sort out a problem with the app whereby it won't preheat the cabin at all under any circumstances.

Will try to give her a 100% balance tonight and test various things out in the morning.

But today, I had a "ping" on my app ref warnings etc..... mmmm, I thought..... a couple of hours later I checked the app again & found the car was actually charging..... yippee.
They called me an hour ago.... I'm getting my car back tomorrow 😁🤩🥰😂😂

Yes I think so. Purchased in May 23 and has charged fine until this week It has no rear wiper and 3 phase charging (I have discovered) The model says MG4 EV Trophy LR but not SE/ SR??
 
She charged right up to 100% and balanced last night (34kWh total, from 54%) so AC charging is definitely fixed, although the balancing didn't take long at all, so I wonder if my policy of regularly DC charging into 95%+ was maybe keeping things well calibrated anyway.
That’s a relief to hear the replacement is working as it should be, tsedge. Yeah, I’ve been charging up to the max of 97% on DC, but I’ll have to carry out a full balancing charge at some point. Hopefully soon.

SE SR is a different battery and model to the Trophy so yours has the larger battery and 3 phase charger (CCU). Unfortunately sounds like another failure of the CCU so get it back to the dealer to sort.

Only concern is that @100%, the expected journey distance was only 209 miles which was a fair bit lower than I'd have thought for a LR, hopefully it'll sort itself over time, but hey, I've got her home. 😁

Don't worry about it - could have been powered up for a while being sorted in the garage which would affect the GOM, it'll all sort itself out once you get it used.

Glad you got it back, while mine was being serviced they gave me a Corsa-E - horrible little thing!

That sounds about right for Winter range, Birdy. It should start to improve once we get average temperatures over 10 degrees centigrade.
 
Ok, this is weird. I changed the charge limit to 80% via the app yesterday and it is still set at this today in the car - but the car charged to 100% last night. It is as if it ignored the limit. It was on 63% and went up to 100%.

Anyone else experienced this?
 
Just heard from the garage that the replacement CCU has been fitted and is charging normally. 😊 I’ll pick the car up on Saturday and let you guys know how it goes on the Zappi.

@tsedge I think that happened to me once last year, but that was before the current issue with the CCU. I’d like to do a balance charge to 100% first and then in a week or so I’ll check the 80% limit and let you know how it goes.
 
Yes, although I would like to know if anyone else who receives a new CCU has the same problem.
Not charged mine yet, but I'm probably not much help as I normally charge mine with the granny during the day (solar panels) so just turn it off when reqd.
