    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

I do get that but it must have been there for a reason originally? Seems odd they would have added something that presumably bumps up coats slightly but serves no purpose at all.

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

We'll end up with a car like the Flintstones where its just a shell and we stick our legs through to make it move.

    MG4 Trophy no driver monitor

I've never bought a car before but seemingly this is common across all cars at the moment - features just get removed - usually because of parts shortages. I looked at an Ioniq 5 ultimate for example and things like the motorised door handles had just been taken out and also some sensors removed...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Well oddly enough I posted a reply on the undertray video with a link to the tweet from MG saying there was no guarantee that trays would be replaced as I was a bit confused based on Stuarts remark that they were replacing it. That comment was removed. I thought perhaps you just weren't allowed...

    New MG4 Shipment?

Damn. Getting car envy now. Mine was meant to have been in early Dec now been told likely in new year.

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

I think they are working on a redesign and I'm sure future models won't have this issue but I've still not see any confirmation that cars currently with the problem will have it rectified. If that gets confirmed then I'm happy enough - they would have responded to both the oil leak and the bulge...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

He seems to be saying it's going to be replaced but it doesn't seem like that decision has been made by MG? If they just said 'don't worry we'll be replacing and defective ones' I'd be absolutely fine with it. Its just not knowing it it is going to be considered a problem that will eventually be...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

That's fair enough. It is important that everyone let's them know so they can understand the scale of the issue.

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Well certainly if this forum is representative it seems to affect the vast majority - i cant see how if its a consitent design flaw it wouldnt affect every car to some degree. Be good for people with the issue to publicly add to that thread. The more it's out there the more incentive there is to...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Well at least they're replying but it's a bit ambiguous still. I can see them sorting the issue going forward but washing their hands of current cars - it'd gotta be a big task to retrofit a new undertray on all currently affected models. Will wait and see anyway...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Yes I appreciate some issues are bring resolved quickly which is indeed great - just seems this one is having a more ambiguous response - partly because the car is still driveable with it (although over time it can't be good for the car - didnt someone have the undertray of their car tore off?)...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Yes this is my concern a bit. We pick up a car now with the bulge and then nothing is done to ours to address it - then further down the line when the problem is rectified on newer versions it becomes an issue on re-sale ie 'is this one of the ones with the bulge fault'. At least other faults...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

This thread has slipped down the forum a bit but I wonder if anyone has had any further updates in regards to MG acknowledging this is a fault. I know compared to other issues it might not be so serious as the car continues to drive fine with it but my concern is that if its something that is...

Locked in my MG4 & unable to escape - Serious Safety Issue

I reckon this was a hidden feature that got accidentally revealed too soon. The Chinese govt was planning to get the whole of the UK driving MG4s by selling them so cheap then lock us all in the cars at the same time so they could invade. It's a trap!

Did anyone else see this post on twitter yesterday?

    1st Week Impressions

Good to hear someone with generally positive reports. I guess it's the nature of things that only people with negative experiences are motivated to post. Be good to hear more positive experiences so I can feel a bit more confident - I've gone from really looking forward to picking the car up to...

    MG4: The New Batch

So is the general vibe on the new batch that a lot of the initial problems have been rectified or too early to tell? The oil leak, the bulge, the driver alertness issue, etc. It's hard to get a handle on things - I'm meant to pick up my Trophy in the coming weeks but not feeling massively confident.

Locked in my MG4 & unable to escape - Serious Safety Issue

Totally understand that decision but I'm kind of the opposite weirdly enough. I'm meant to be picking up my Trophy in the next week or so and I think something like this key fault will absolutely get sorted - its too serious for MG not to figure out the cause and implement a fix. It's the other...

Yeah I'll be up for this. Can paypal the money over or however you want to do it.

    Preparing for our MG4

This helps a lot - thanks. There was a link to a 3 phase cable on another thread which i was going to but then noticed its kW rating was less than 11kw so wasn't sure if it was correct. I'll make sure it's a 22kw one.
