At the weekend I managed to hit a wooden fence when my brain was somewhere else - probably away with the fairies! I have managed to crack a couple of those plastic silver bars on the false grill of my MG5!
I know if I go to my dealers they will want an arm and a leg to do any repair, probably...
We have to visit relatives in Faringdon, near Oxford next week-end and will need to get some free electrons from somewhere, as well as taking in a few of ‘the sights’! Last time we visited Oxford I drove a Skoda so no problem thinking about where to ‘fill up‘!
A bit of research uncovers the...
A brand new KFC is opening on London Road in Retford, Nottinghamshire which will evidently have a charge point! Good news for the area. It’s close to the Lidl that already has a few charging points.
More news later when I know a little more.
Are there any members who have taken out a subscription with Egg and have had their charger installed at a rate of £30 a month?
They claim to fit the charger for an all inclusive price for whatever period of time you want it. As the cost of a charger installation can now be at least £1000+ a...
Well, the things you find out when you look. Hire cars on Jersey also utilise a red flash and a bold letter H to the left of their numbers to distinguish them from residents cars!
Got it! Knew if I kept looking that I would discover what this was! This number plate is from the Isle of Man! It’s one of the newer ones with a red flash on the left and the Manx three legged symbol on it as well.
I can sleep easy now!
As per my post recently, been trying to spot how many ‘Green Flash’ EVs I can spot on a journey. Just popped out to town this afternoon and was perplexed to spot a car in the opposite lane sporting a ’Red Flash’ on its number plate. Too late to read the number plate to attempt to determine...
The police forces in the U.K., Eire and Australia do random checks on vehicles to find those illegally using red diesel in their tanks.
At an Irish checkpoint, the female Garda officer stops this van, an EV, to tell the driver they are going to test his fuel! If it wasn't captured on video...
On Wednesday, the Chancellor will present his Spring Statement where we all hope that some extra relief will be given to the hard pressed population in these troubled times. Many are hoping for a reduction in fuel duty or VAT on fuel that will alleviate the gradual rise in costs of anything...
Eh? Where did that come from? You makes funny statement, implying that you are Jewish. I realise immediately that you can’t be, deciding to play along with your original statement and just give a little bit of information, not implying anything whatsoever. You misconstrue my comment somehow and...
My best friend from University is Jewish and he never used to allow the Sabbath to get in the way of his DJ ing or his other activities! He was very reformed!
Surely posting on here is also forbidden to Orthodox people so you shouldn’t really be doing this either!
Being a bit of a nerd and now a convinced proponent for the use of Electric Vehicles, I like to count how many ‘Green Flash’ cars I notice on my travels but of course any older EVs escape my count as their number plates predate the use of this identifying mark.
Today, just got back from a trip...
Our local Asda has four points, three at 7kw and one a 3-pin plug connection! A fat lot of mileage you can get from two hours allowed on one of those in this ANPR controlled car park!
This announcement has just been made by Shell!
“Shell to shut all petrol stations in Russia and to stop buying its oil and gas, as it apologises for buying shipment after Ukraine invasion”.
So maybe my post has been read by someone at Shell H.Q. and that it has at least played an...
I am calling for a boycott of all Shell Recharge Stations and also their fuel products like petrol, diesel and oil - why?
On Friday, Shell purchased a cargo of Russian Crude Oil!!!!
At this time of more and more boycotting of Russian goods and cessation of many major companies trading with...
I’ve always found it strange that there are two different gallon sizes used here and across the pond. The US gallon is based on the gallon used in the wine industry whilst the Imperial gallon used here is based upon the bigger gallon used in beer making. The U.K. measure is approximately 20%...
