Is your app functioning m8?
Perhaps that's at 80%

Not sure that would override the setting you put on the charge screen but I can't think of anything else.

More Learn ed Types will be along shortly.

I think thats how it works "et the power to 100 but it still stops at 80 percent", we have an LFP (basic SR) system so can't stop it to 100%? (unless via the charger on the wall)

We don't have a wide variety of different charger type experiences, but we have noticed that PodPoint rapid chargers always stop at 80% no matter what the app is set to. Other rapid we use take the car to 100% so it's not an app/car setting. Maybe that's the issue with what you are seeing?

yes you have 2 basic systems either the car or charger. We've only ever used that charger (ohme) to run/drive the system, which always does as its told (in our case)

Is the 100% set in the car or the iSmart app?
Check the setting in the app. On the home screen tap the battery tile, tap the nut icon at the top right and check what the Target Battery Level is set at.

Oddly mine used to charge to 100% but after a recent rapid charge ( not to 100%) my it changed to 80% . I had a a lot of mileage ahead of me this weekend so wanted the battery at 100% but it kept stopping at 80% . After a lot of faffing about , I found that the ISmart app had changed to 80% with no input on my behalf . Reset it to 100% and all was well .
Checked the app today and it's back to 80% . Is it trying to tell me something ? Thoughts?

Battery care mode for NMC is 80%, on lots of makes it defaults to that needing an input to move it to 100%, probably doing that on the app.

I don't know which one overrides the other, the app or the car setting, but I've always made sure they are both set to the same and have had no problem.

I think that my MG app is arguing with the Ohme wall charger. So I will delete the MG app and rely on Ohme as they have a great after sales service they will talk you through any difficulties you may have.

Surely the MG iSmart app sets the charge % limit and sends it to the MG, which them stops charging when that limit is reached. The charger as far as I'm aware doesn't not know your car state of charge.

Ohme chargers certainly do (with certain manufacturers) not sure if MG is one of them as I have my Born as the main car. I also have a family members Megane and the ohme knows that too, need to check the wife's MG.

@Deleted member 16414, are you home charging or AC charging at 7kW / 11kW depending on your version, or rapid DC charging? As I believe rapid charger will only charge to 80%.
If you are AC charging the iSMART app only reflects the percentage charge target set on the car, if you change it on the app it will ask you for your passcode before changing.
If the car (Trophy with NMC cells) is set up to 80% it will say Battery Health mode, on the battery scale, above that it will say Long Journey mode.
With my charger NRGKick it always charges to the target level set in the car.

I can rapid charge (DC) to 100% with my Trophy 64. Well, technically it conks out at 98% because the charge slows down so much the charger must decide the car is full, but it definitely goes over 80%. Etiquette dictates you shouldn’t really do this though because you’ll hog the charger, and from 80% onwards it slows down at lot anyway
