I watched a Bjon Nyland YouTube some while back using the voice Control in his Thai MG ZS EV and I seem to recall he said to get voice control he had his iPhone in CarPlay for that to work (or possibly Android phone and Android Auto)

Android Auto voice control works a treat without adjusting any of these settings.

But it doesn't do things like open the sunroof blind etc, does it? the Thai car with the Asian Infotainment system does.

Yes.That would be the last resort. No issues so far so I keep tinkering with it.
