Help! I unlocked my Mg5 this morning put foot on break and pressed start. Nothing happened but a bit of quiet ticking. So I tried again and the break juddered like the ABS was on. Eventually the low power on 12volt battery warning came up so I got myself out of the car (not wanting to get locked in like last time!) and tried to lock the door. No luck. Have charged battery so it’s full but still no response.

Any ideas?

Hmm...

Had a couple of odd warning lights come up after charging the car on our trip, but they went out after Mrs S lifted her bum off the seat, locked and unlocked the car and sat down properly.

Not sure what to do if the car doesn't lock.

You haven't got both keys in the car have . Caused havoc with locking for me in the past. If I carry both keys now ,one is in an RFID pouch

Try the disconnect 12v battery and leave it for 10 minutes, then reconnect.. solution.
You'll get a whole raft of errors but they will clear themselves.

When my 12v went flat I popped my booster pack on, foot on brake pedal and turned on into ready mode.

Doing that. Thanks. So… to add a bit more colour, it was fine yesterday and apparently dead today. We have a collection of people using the power of positive thinking…

looks like the battery is totally dead. Anyone know how to replace a 12v battery in a MG5EV
