Dealers with allocation and what specs etc.

I've just been the same thing by my dealer

Same at my dealer where they are awaiting demonstrators and will be test driving the car I will have if I say yes.. As long as I didn't do too many miles they were happy, on the small (I think!) chance that I turn it down.

For anybody who knows Havant I'm going to go down the road past the recycling centre which will be a good test of the suspension plus a bit of dual carriageway.

I phoned local dealer this morning. They said they had one MG4 in. It was awaiting customer collection so you could look at it, but not open or touch! Their demo car is expected on Monday they said.

Just dropped by mine (Gallaghers of Sandycroft) as I was passing, and got a similar story.

No demo cars yet (They're getting another Orange Trophy & a Black SE), but one customer car (Orange Trophy) in the showroom for the weekend.
They said that the owner was happy for people to sit in it.

We only saw a few pictures from the docks, from one location. Cars arrive at two ports in the UK so the red ones may be at the other one. I think I saw some at Portbury as I came over the Avon bridge last weekend but that might just be wishful thinking.

My dealer - in Cardiff have no clue what they’re getting. Very frustrating hearing everyone on here getting updates. Test drive Tuesday, maybe then I’ll get some news.

Yes, very frustrating! Nowhere round me seems to have them yet either. It looks like they've all gone to the garages up North!

I can't get any time off work this week, so it looks like it will be next Sunday before I can even see one in person

Not all cars are up North, very much southwest here. Popped into my dealer today, they had four SE's in the yard, two blue, one white and one red. My red Trophy is arriving tomorrow.

Not sure why other dealers don't know what they're getting, mine knew allocation from 1st September. My dealer is part of the Drive group, so a reasonable size network, perhaps they get a better allocation from MG?

Again - I agree not all up north. In fact they come from the south so makes sense to evenly distribute where possible. If anyone has any details of LR variants available can they let me know?

Yep. Same dealer as me! MGEurope say the dealers should have full transparency of the deliveries and allocations

After the trouble we have with our ID3 order , ordered Oct 21 due to be made Nov 22 cancelled to March 23 !!!
We have decided to go for a car that actually exists!
The long range is the one we would really want more than the SE but that depends on how quick they arrive in the U.K. after the mess that VW made we don't want to end up with over a years wait.
I'm sure once we test drive it we will order one!

As we don't have Home charging we would really want the longer range but I'm sure my wife might go for the SE as its cheaper!
Mind you the Trophy is less than the ID3 we had ordered so that may be an alternative.

I don't have home charging either, parking is a bit of a lottery where I live, but it's a company car so I will be charging on the wall box at work. The SE LR has the best WLTP range but the Trophy isn't far behind.

Luckily we have several charging places near us including fast charging and the local council are talking about street charging.
I know prices are going up but it the long run its the way to go.
At the moment we have a Hybrid car, but we weren't looking at an EV to save of running costs.
It's was obvious that that cheap electric wouldn't last due to recent world events, and the government will find a way to start taxing EV cars in the future!
