First Service Cost

It's time for my Friday afternoon special to have it's first service. I was hoping the price would be <£100, however it looks like that's not going to happen.

I thought I'd share the prices quoted, so far I have the following quotes for the "service" (i.e. walk around the car and confirm it is indeed an MG4 - ca-ching, money please )

Yep that's about it. A quick look over.
Had mine done the other week, £143 please. I waited while they did it. Well walked to a nearby Maccies. Got a breakfast, did a couple of crosswords. Just over an hour, got a phone call, it's ready. Walked back, job done.

Unfortunately I can't do that, my car is not quite 6 months old yet and has 15,000 on it

Have to wonder if this is anything more than dealerships hanging on to their traditional way of working. ICE's have regular services mainly to change fluids. EV's don't have much that needs changing. I've had my Tesla for nearly two years. It'll tell me when it wants a service, so far not a peep out of it.
