You select that in the first field.

No, the +44 is entered from its own dropdown box. The mobile number (less the leading zero) is typed into the right hand box

No the 44 is already there so drop the 0 and start with 7, that’s how I did mine when I collected our ZS

That's exactly the same for me, no "this mobile is already registered" message.

Yep I’m in the same boat, I registered with the iSMART app with my phone number and since forgetting the password it never sends the verification sms code to me even though it says “ successfully sent code “

It know my phone number is registered as if I enter a random one it says “ phone number not registered “

I rang MG to get my car binding removed so I can use a new I smart account ( registered to my emai ) they said it should be done jn a few days and that was last week so I’m going to ring them again. The dealers can’t help you with this one ether from ym conversions with them.

No, I get exactly what I said ... Sent successfully blah blah, but no SMS with PIN is ever received.

So it is working as it should.
The leading 0 is precisely written in brackets because it must be omitted when the international dial code is included (this is for all countries using a leading zero)

+44 (0)76543....

It does not make any sense when some sites/apps put the +44 and then expects a number in the format 076543...

It may well be the only and unique standard thing among different countries. The rest (tones, local prefixes, patterns) is pure chaos

Just to update this, I had a few more software updates done on the 3rd Jan as my dealer contacted me before Xmas re the "lock in" update, they did this and a few others including finally the head unit update so the AA message has finally gone!

It's R30 so I'm assuming this is still the latest for the trophy incase anyone was wondering.

Also apparently a new BMS & camera module update but can't say I've noticed any difference but I haven't really used the car alot since. ?

It's R30 so I'm assuming this is still the latest for the trophy incase anyone was wondering.

Also apparently a new BMS & camera module update but can't say I've noticed any difference but I haven't really used the car alot since. ?

Mine goes in in 2 weeks for multiple fixes so hoping to get a few bits fixed with this update

Really good your dealer contacted you, that would give me a bit of confidence in them. Your in the minority at the moment

I picked up my MG4 SE SR a few days ago, the dealer has assured me that the fix has been applied but there doesn't seem to be a way to check this, it's 1100 R13 so the same as others have had before this fix

Amongst other things I asked for the oil leak to be checked and any work done before I picked up the car. I was told they knew about these issues and that the car would be ready for collection. They didn't say a breather was fitted but presumably not because it has a leak - I've reported it to the dealer.

Just got back from MG Cardiff - waste of time.
Also posted a fuller message under the screen scrolling thread, but with regard to software update:

No software update for my car (Tango Trophy) which is still at version R29. I said that R30 is out and quite a few cars according to these forums have been upgraded, they said not available for my car after being on the diagnostics - they would not listen though. Said update were per individual car and not model - I argued that couldn't be right - gave up and walked out.

That is so annoying. So your Trophy is different to every other Trophy? With any other car maker you would complain to corporate but we know this is a total waste of time with MG. Is there another dealer who will do it for you?

I've come from a Mercedes, customer service is on a different stellar level- but so are the prices ?

As I have mentioned elsewhere, app version 1.1.10 now let me register my mobile number and the PIN arrived quickly. I think with 1.1.10 they also changed where their servers are located, so that may have been the original issue with not getting the SMS with the PIN.
