Yesterday whilst visiting Pitlochry, I decided to do a quick boost on the Charge Place Scotland chargers at Rie-Achan Rd car park, mainly because it was thronged with tourists and the car park was full. I pulled in to a bay and lo and behold there was a Camden Grey Trophy next to me. I said 'hello' to the gentleman and could see that he was pre-occupied with charging and said he was only getting half a Kw instead of 50Kw. I carried on plugging in, scanned my CPS card...not authorised

. I selected contactless option...not authorised

. I phoned the helpline and they answered promptly, he suggested a remote reset...which sent it into a software update

. Meanwhile fellow MG4 owner beside me had now entered into a discussion with his call handler and was also getting irritated.
As the update was taking longer than expected and our family were hanging about waiting for me, I decided to move to the other side of the bays where the other two charge points were unoccupied and try my luck there. As I parked up I still had my call handler on the line and I apologised for keeping him so long, "no worries" he said jovially "I'm here till late". I soon discovered that both chargers are brand spanking new and not even identified and not powered up.

. They should have had 'Not in Use' covers on them and the other EV drivers, as well as myself, arriving during my debacle would have been informed better instead I stopped a Tesla and a Polestar from lining up to use them.
I thought I'd go back to my previous charger, only to find that the other MG4 had now moved over on to it at the instruction of his call handler. Thinks

, I'll move onto the one he has just left...nope, both CCS and AC charge plugs were completely wrecked.

. I told my call handler and he asked me to take photos and send them to him, which I dutifully did. So fellow MG4 owner, WAS THIS YOU

was this your experience as well.

I finally found a parking space just opposite the chargers as it was being vacated just at the right time.
I should add that when we arrived in Kinloch Rannoch at 4.30pm on Saturday, there was a Camden Grey MG4 on the charger in The Square, was this you

.
