Which version did this give you? I did this (well, different link) several days ago and it gave me 2023Q4. So it’s still at least 2 x quarters out of date. Not sure how often they issue updates.
I think that based on everything else about updates Q4 2023 isn't bad! I'm hoping we get annual updates at the least but even that could be over confident.....Which version did this give you? This could be a little cynical but based on them not sorting out potentially serious driver safety issues, I don't hold out much hope of them responding to any map feedback. Thanks I updated map data without problems. But I see some issues on the map - incorrect street name. Where can I send feedback to MG service to fix the street name?
Thank you, I found MG4 uses map data from HERE provider. I will write to HERE support (they have feedback web page) and will wait for the next map data update. This could be a little cynical but based on them not sorting out potentially serious driver safety issues, I don't hold out much hope of them responding to any map feedback.
But.... it might be worth working out where they get their map data and feeding back to the source somehow i.e.: whoever produces the Ukrainian maps for them.
You can of course contact SAIC or MG directly and they might respond - MG Motor Ukraine
The time may differ depending on the chip of the pendrive. For example I have a Philips 32GB pendrive that is slow as hell, while a Sandisk is much faster. It is not so much a question of writing/reading speed but of sequential reading of small filesApologies if this is basic, but my first attempt at a map upgrade. If relevant, I have R59. I have got as far as the update process seemingly recognising my USB. I now have a message: "Loading resource files from USB". Been there for 20 minutes as I type. Normal? Should I simply keep waiting?
Thanks. I will try another drive. The time may differ depending on the chip of the pendrive. For example I have a Philips 32GB pendrive that is slow as hell, while a Sandisk is much faster. It is not so much a question of writing/reading speed but of sequential reading of small files
In your situation i would change pendrive, 20 minutes are too much, usually is not more than 5
