MG4 Trophy map update – BEWARE

Hello, I have MG 5, 2022 Luxury.
I successfully updated my car's navigation using the maps.zip file mentioned here. EU_2024Q3 maps

Simply add a VN.txt file with the content “pass” (without quotation marks) under the Version.txt file.

This worked for my Marvel R! Many thanks!
It’s incredible but when I wrote by email to MG’s assistance they didn’t give me any advice about this.

If you have issues with a missing VN.txt file add this file manually to the USB Stick - This info is from the German MG4 Forum:

I have posted this before.. are you running R46? This could be the issue..

Excuse me, i have the same problem with the missing file VN. What we have to put inside the vn.txt file is the navigation version ( mine is 6.2.60.1.45160), or the date version ( mine is an old HERE_EU_22Q1 202204172242). The file's name must BE VN.txt or version.txt? Thanks
