MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

...and for those that are umming and arrring thinking the dealer won't be interested, two words " Preventative maintenance". 😉👍
Agree. I am keeping an eye on mine but have stated I want it doing for the next service. Dealer is an hour away or I would ask for it sooner.

I now have a flat bottom! 🤣🤣

Bracket fitted today after I mentioned it at the service last week. Have to say Arnold Clark MG Aberdeen have been brilliant. No questions asked, all under warranty, just organised it straight away.

Result! No fuss. Just as it should be. 🙂👍

Is this gap enough to complain about for a fix? Car is in for a 2nd service in 2 weeks.

I'd want that fixed, if you happen to hit a puddle at speed it could destroy the panel.
There's been reports of that happening, leading to other problems.

Is this something that MG Europe and Australia have specifically issued fixes for? Anyone outside those regions has had this fixed? I mentioned this to the dealer for the first service, and they looked into this and MG South America does not have any bulletin nor access to the parts for the fix. I sent them the Europe bulletin and pictures too, but so far they don't have this reported over here.

I believe the fix was invented in Australia & adopted by Europe.
I quoted the EU tech bulletin number to my dealer and they're fitting the parts next week, under warranty.

Mine was less than that and I got the fix.
My SE was in at Arnold Clark for its second service today. Service done but not sure if they changed the brake fluid and pollen filter as no itemised work sheet. Will call back tomorrow. More importantly, I had asked for a software update to R40 and a fix for the bulge. Surprised that the software was done and they did in fact agree I have a bulge on the under tray. Booked back in for a warranty fix in 2 weeks. Was completely prepared for them to try and fob me off, I did have the info from these forums though screenshotted. Cheers 👌🏻

SC077 (the LKA update) was your friend here.
To do any software updates, they have to book a 4-hour workshop slot in case the update fails and they have to start over.
So if they have the car for that long anyway, they might as well update everything else too.

So my SE was in for the SC077 5-6 weeks ago and I asked for the R38 to be done at the same time but they said there was no more updates available for it. Obviously I knew differently but they were adamant. Today I pressed on the fact that the HVAC was defective.

Just checked the pollen filter and it’s still the old one 😩. Will speak to them when it’s in for the undertray fix.

Just had the brace fitted, along with a new spoiler under warranty*
The whole thing took my dealer (Holdcroft Cheshire Oaks) under 3 hours

* The acrylic was de-laminating at one side and split down the middle. I swear there was a whole cup of water in it!
