Great news for you. I am sure you will love it.I rang my dealer last week (at the 14 week wait stage) and he said car was in Portbury awaiting transport to the dealer. Should be in the next 2-4 weeks. (Grey LR Trophy)

Do we get the VIN number when car is on a boat? or when car is under production? my dealer have no information to give me.. Delivery Q1-23 seams like a big joke if the car isnt loaded on board at a boat now.. Cars is waiting to leave drammen harbour for long time too, my car also going to be prepared with coating, roof-rack and tow-bar.. and time is running out for them. Was at my local vi dealer in Norway, and they had not got any MG4 since early november. And there was no sign of any arrivals in at least the next 3 weeks.
According to my dealer, they get no information before car arrives in Drammen. And from that point it takes about 3 weeks for preparation and delivery.Do we get the VIN number when car is on a boat? or when car is under production? my dealer have no information to give me.. I didn't order one, I phoned around dealers and left my details to wait for a cancelled order.when did you order your? Looking good though
Out of interest - why do you need to know the vin?Not sure how it works in Norway. When I ordered mine (from the dealer group's allocated stock) they were able to tell me the VIN. At that point the car was on the boat to the UK.
Well at least that is a bit of progress.Called in at MG dealers in Wakefield this morning and was told our MG4 is now on their computer and we can expect delivery end of march to early April.
That's good news, I also ordered my Trophy at the end of Nov, but still waiting any confirmation off the dealership. My dealer emailed to say my Trophy ordered end of Nov will be here in March, will know more in 2 weeks.
Before you get the car - you don't. But having it defined makes it feel more real ... the car exists at that point in time and isn't just vapourware.Out of interest - why do you need to know the vin?
I suppose the equivalent would be knowing your baby's national insurance number before birth? Before you get the car - you don't. But having it defined makes it feel more real ... the car exists at that point in time and isn't just vapourware.![]()
