Works for me* (for an hour or so), then "Token expired".
Don't forget to delete the app cache in the phone settings.
Settings -> Apps -> MG iSmart -> Storage -> Clear cache.

* Pixel 7 Pro on Android 14.

It works, but is there anything new in terms of functions?
The biggest improvement is the digital key on the Home Screen, seamlessly integrated with the usual network key.

The app will try and connect to the car via Bluetooth as you get near it, and the unlock and lock keys will use the digital key rather than the network.

This is a massive convenience improvement.

Took several attempts to update this app then it wouldn't let me log in so changed my password and it eventually after about twenty attempts let me in. Tried to bind the car and after a hour of trying it finally accepted the QR code on the dash and my account details appeared on the car screen. Great I thought and the app seemed to like that and asked me to return to the login but alas all the app wants me to do is bind with the car again so very frustrating and no functionality in the app.
I get exactly the same issue.
Original app worked fine but asked me to update so I did. Logged onto app and asks to bind car.
I had to log out of car to get the QR code, which the app finally read and logged me into the car, but app still asks to bind car and wont do anything else, even after uninstalling app & downloading again.
Then this morning, I had same issue as others "Token expired" - had to log into app again. Still doesnt work though, same issue.

Terms and conditions for Google Play:
'At a minimum, apps should provide users with a basic degree of functionality and a respectful user experience. Apps that crash, exhibit other behaviour that is not consistent with a functional user experience are not allowed on Google Play'.
If you leave a review, I suggest you mention these terms.

Scan the QR on the infotainment in the car.
The only way I can get a QR code on the car is to log out, then use the app to log me back in but still asks to bind car.
A couple of times there has been the "connect car" tab next to my account name but this literally only shows for a second then disappears.
there is no other way to get a QR code & I dont want to do a full reset - it took long enough to set it all up in the 1st place.

Has anyone got this working on Android yet?
Yes

On the podcast last night @Miles Roberts CG specifically said to NOT try to rebind the car. And you shouldn't ... the car is bound to an account, and not to an instance of the app on a device. If you're 100% sure you've logged in to the correct account and are having issues then I'd suggest waiting a couple of days for things to settle (e.g. server loading). If still no luck then contact MG. (I think Miles said we could contact him too).

Have you tried:
Switching phone off and on again
Connecting to 4/5g or a different WiFi network
request a new vehicle status
Moving the car to a location with better signal
I've tried all of the above....

I think its a firmware issue...The last time it went back to the dealer I lost the car for 2 months so I'll manage without

If you log in with your existing account, there's no requirement to rebind your car. It seems like you might have logged in with the wrong or a new account. Ensure that you log in using either your phone number or email address, depending on your initial choice when creating the account.

In my experience, all I had to do was log in with the correct account, and there was no need to rebind the car.
After several attempts to install, I'm stuck in a loop: After successful login, the app wants to pair before releasing the applications. When pairing using a QR code, this message appears: “This vehicle is already bound …”
But for unbound I need the app, which I don't have full access to.
Could this be a solution: I'll do a "Restore on Factory Settings" and hope that this will also delete the vehicle's binding so that I can re-pair.
PS: I drive an MG ZS EV. But unfortunately there is no significant discussion on the topic in this area.

I think I saw this mentioned somewhere, can't remember if it was here or fb, but I've just tried it and it seems to work.

If you log in with your email address, the app defaults to KM, if you use your phone number it defaults to miles... (Assuming you use a UK mobile number). I'm waiting for my token to expire to double check but so far...

@newber That is not a solution - it won't work. As I said before, the car is bound to an ACCOUNT, and NOT bound to the device/app.

The best first step is to delete cache and data and then uninstall the app. Then reinstall it and make sure you're connecting to the same account as when you first registered and did the binding. So if you first did the login by email, login that way again; if you first did it via phone number, use that.

Doesn't work for me - both login methods still revert to KM after login. (I usually login via phone number).

Make sure you log in with the correct account. As siteguru already said, the vehicle is bound to an account not to the app itself. When started, some people might've made two accounts, one bound to a phone number, the other to e-mail and then bound the car to one of them. Now that you had to login again, it might be possible you used the wrong account and therefore the bind with the vehicle is gone. So double check that.

If that fails, I would advice you to contact your dealer. They should be able to release the bind on your car so it can be bound again.
