But they may have bound to your car (as yours seems to be bound to there's), so no obvious sign that binding is wrong (apart from location, and state of charge). Obviously the DK will work for the car that is bound to that account (not phone) - so in that case you could drive away their car IF you could make a Bluetooth connection to it.
The digital key requires a Bluetooth handshake with the car and its then paired to your device. How could you pair the digital key without being in range of their car? Unless you are saying they already paired their car to their device and account.
 
I just get a screen with the MG logo and it goes no further, on Android 14.

Logged into iSmart this morning (iPhone) and got a message saying update to version 2 as it has major changes.

Went to the App Store and apparently the app isn’t available in my country (UK) Tried to search for an update manually but no luck.

The app is basically bricked now as I can’t clear the please update message to use any features. Anyone else experiencing this?
Didn't have to download new app,I went into my original app tonight, accepted terms and conditions, I did forget my password so had to redo that but apart from that no problem

On IOS, deleted app and downloaded the new version from app store, logged in... its changed folks, a brand new learning experience :eek:, working with both of my MG`s, keyless entry is now on the home page, if you want to update data select the little MG icon in bottom left corner.... oh my. It is actually so far an improvement, appears to have a few new functions (although I cannot see how to set battery charging level from app, now found on the battery page by selecting the top right nut icon). Make sure you are sitting down before updating...
Press on where it shows your battery percent and your charging screen comes up
 
I can log in and use all the functions, I have and MG ZS, but the schedule battery heating option has been removed, which means I can't heat the battery anymore before I drive (which is an MG Manual recommendation). Anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and is there a way to revert to the previous version?

It’s been moved, not removed, just go into Battery and it’s there, not under scheduled charging

Summary for the iPhone: after a number of failed attempts to get the app to work I downloaded 2.0.1. Couldn’t connect to the car, password required every time I opened it.
So, I cleared the cache, rebooted the phone and it improved slightly. Eventually worked out that logging in with the email didn’t work properly, I deleted the email from the login option and used the mobile number only. Bingo!
Took a while because the servers were obviously busy, but turned on face recognition and now it works fine, just needs a bit of time at first to allow the server time to catch up!

I know it's there for your car, I watched a Youtube video on it yesterday. I did say that I have a ZS, so I'm hoping other ZS owners will be able to help me. There's no reason why it should be there for one model and not another. It makes no sense to me at all.
 
Everyone needs to give one star reviews on the App Store or the Google store. last time when they removed imperial units the feedback on the App Store got them to sort it out within a few days.

It is totally unbelievable that software that is this appalling ever gets released.
There are over 40 bad reviews since the update in the Apple App Store. Keep it up guys.

Just opened the app this morning and a vast improvement from yesterday. I didn't have to log back in because the "ticket" had expired and the battery range was still in miles. I haven't tried the keyless entry and start function yet as I'm still on my first coffee.

I suspect a lot of the problems were caused by the servers being overloaded.
 
Is anyone else still getting the "the remote control instruction failed, please try again later" message all the time??
Android version, latest download, cache cleared, MG5 2022 etc...
What am I doing wrong?
 
I am the same. I can not find the scheduled battery heating anywhere on the new app
Go to the 'battery'section, and look for the hexagon in the top right hand corner. Scheduled charging and scheduled battery heating is in here.

On a side note, ive not used scheduled battery heating ever before, is this something worth using on a very cold morning, before a commute of 20 miles ?
 
In fairness.... there has been a major problem with amazon cloud.... we are having big problems at work with "stuff" that connects to the cloud.
I believe most of the issues of the ismart app will correct themselves when amazon cloud is back up and working fully.

Same here! Mine stayed logged in last night and this morning and also kept the miles instead of km. Don't want to talk too soon, but appears to be mostly fixed!

Also, the heating remembered the tempt previously set, another possible issue fixed.
