Air Con cutting out on Cold Air setting

Anyone had their Air Con cut out sporadically when on Cold Air, Snow Flake button on, setting. Cold Air is being produced but it cuts out sporadically with the whole air con stopping. It then will only restart if the Cold air button is turned off and then the air Con button turned off and on...

DIY Swap dumb Podpoint charger for Zappi

Hi all I want to upgrade my Podpoint dumb charger for a Zappi charger. Has anyone got experience of this and if so is it something I can or should easily do myself? All the wiring and fusing is obviously in place and it would be a 7kw for 7kw charger. Thanks

2nd Service Expensive and New Brake Discs needed? Really?

So just had 2nd service and it cost £220. Seems very expensive? They charged £1.25 for topping up the screen wash? £30 for a pollen filter. The car is leased which is a disadvantage when it comes to servicing. They then advised after a visual inspection the brake discs needed replacing. The...

Need some re assurance- does anyone have the Type 2 to Type 2 OHME add on charger designed to plug into a dumb charger, in my case a pod point. If yes can you tell me if the Type 2 connector at the charger end is female, only their photo makes it look like its male but could just be for...

They got me to download another app😭

Bonnet Watched Fully Charged latest You Tube episode and thought what a great idea. Get rid of all those annoying apps and no more putting funds onto an account - but then I found myself downloading another app and putting my card details in to add funds. Surely the charging companies have...

    What updates to avoid?

I am taking the car in to have the drivers window wiring replaced and the dealer service man said that they would do three software updates: 1/ An update to allow a smart charger to start a timed charge. 2/ An infotainment update to stop the screen shutting down or blinking. 3/ A battery...

The answer to Rapid Charging is Coffee and Burgers.

The answer to Rapid charging on long journeys is not Service Stations! It seems to me that Instavolts hook up with Mcdonalds, Costa, Starbucks etc is a match made in heaven. Reliable easy to use chargers in convenient locations and often in close proximity to each other. Just charged in...

Drivers door window controls not working.

My drivers door windows controllers are not working. The other doors work and the lights are on the controller but none of the buttons work. The only thing I did that may have caused an issue was clean under the seat so not sure if any wires were caught but have done this before with no issue.

    Home Storage Battery

Another non car question. Does anyone have solar panels and a home storage battery?. I am thinking of investing 4.5k in a GivEnergy 8kw system linked to solar in order to save on bills. Does anyone have any experience on if savings are possible and how much bills can be reduced by. Many thanks.

Rapid Charging Network on Motorways still a challenge.

We don't do many long distance journeys requiring a rapid charge, thankfully, as our experience today shows that the network has a long way to go to provide a workable solution to rapid charging. Stopped at Tamworth Moto services on 25% and plugged into the single Gridserve charger thinking how...

Smart radiator thermostats and smart room stat

Just wondering if anyone has real world experience of using Smart Radiator Stats such as Tado and if they have saved money on energy bills as a result. I ask on this forum as MG EV owners are early adopters and so may have experience of this. Thanks

Engine oil change on my ZS EV

I took my 1 year old ZS EV for its first service yesterday. The service reception guy explained after the service that there were no issues and amongst other things the engine oil had been changed. I thanked him and asked how the electric motor will perform with a couple of litres of oil on...

    Gridserve Ecotricity Wetherby Services

Just charged for the first time using the upgraded chargers on the E Highway. Very impressed with the chargers, easy tap and go to get going. However the charging spaces have not been changed to allow two cars to sit in front of one charger. If you are out there service station owners can you...

Car knows temporary speed limit in roadworks?

I noticed today whilst driving on a dual carriage way with normal speed limit 70mph that the car recognised the new temporary speed limit by showing 30mph on the dash. How is it doing this, surely this would require a data connection? 🤔

A little range test Humber to Sheff

Driving to Sheffield today, weather fine no rain and in daylight. All gadgets off, plugged in phone, didn't need aircon. So as can be seen below got 58.8 miles on three bars, the 3rd bar dropped as I was looking for a car park space. Driving at 50 to 60mph on motorways, mainly flat but some...
