    At Last, it's here :)

At long last on Friday our car was ready, MG5 Trophy and it's looking good. We had the gardx done inside and out, my little stormtrooper at the side.

    Ceci n,est pas une pipe

After a bit of hooning around and discovering that the go faster pedal has more travel than my better half has up to now not allowed, I can say that this is not a car , its a ruddy time machine. With 62 years on the clock and lots of years of no claims bonuses and a nice clean licence ( about to...

    Trophy volatile internal temperature displaying

Hi everyone, yesterday our Trophy had something of a fit. We tried to change the temperature and fan speed and it became unresponsive. The internal temperature seemed to be cycling rapidly between 17 and 33 degrees. has anyone else had this experience?

    Interesting Antipodean video

Forgive me if everybody has already seen this Australian-weighted video! This guy isn't afraid of the occasional salty language, and says some interesting things, e.g., Recycling of Batteries (at around 47 minutes), and LKA (around 53 minutes)

    A word of warning

I have a Trophy. On the centre storage cover which slides back to open do NOT leave loose coins. If you open the cover with coins on it or even brake a bit hard the coins slow back and disappear into the interior of the ! Can see how to retrieve. Just hope metal coins 3x £1 and 2x 0.50p do not...

    Stunned !

Out of curiosity I tested the market for my 5 Exclusive against a another car and was told MG's not in demand and would have to lay off to MG who would underwrite at £16.6 k- I have 10k on the clock and its 22plate was told the EV market was on the downturn which I doubt but... still a shock...

Are micro-top-ups okay if they don't take the SOC above 80%?

I want to pick the brains of the battery super-nerds out there! I know that having a battery at 100%, driving a few miles, and then topping up again, is basically battery battery! I know that leaving a car for a long period with less than 20% is also not good. However, I also know that battery...

    Nice and Tidy?

Seen at my local charging point. Of course they may well be not charging just using the parking place.

I'm officially a member of team Grey

Yes, finally after 7 months of waiting I picked up my Trophy on Friday. Drove from Preston up to the lakes and spent Friday afternoon and Saturday driving around the area then a nice run home today. All is good, had a slight hiccup at my first High Speed charger with Ionity but that was soon...

    Better than advertised miles.

Anybody managing to better the advertised mileage consistently. 582 miles in and I’m getting around 310miles out of a full charge. I normally just charge the car to 100% when using free chargers out and about , I know this isn’t recommended but I’ve not used the home charger yet. Model is a...

    Electroheads on Cyberster

I must admit I think Tesla are making a mistake with their recent product focus: Cybertruck: impractical for most of the world outside US Roadster: insanely expensive. New small car: sounds like it will be a robotaxi, may have optional/emergency manual controls. Generally very few models /...
