    Overspeed Threshold

Hi, Does anyone know what the overspeed threshold is for in the settings screen (main dash, not infotainment)? The manual's vague advice (page 19 of the online one) is: "Allows the setting of the over-speed alarm threshold, please note, the over-speed alarm function is turned off when "OFF" is...

Ohme Home Pro 3.8kW max charge

Has anyone had the same problem as me in that my Ohme Home Pro only gets to 3.8kW charging without the house drawing any other power? Usually I've had to unlock the car, unplug, lock, unlock plug in, lock and then it would get to 7kW. When I got the charger I inadvertently turned on load...

And it’s a goodbye from me....

Hello all, just a quick line to say that after running it for 13 months I’ve sold my #teamred MG5. It’s been far better than I expected and sadly I couldn’t keep it as I’m starting up a driver training business and currently the demand seems to be manual, so reluctantly getting a new Focus, not...

    Home charger

Just ordered an MG5 long range, and I need a 7kw home charger. Ohme Home Pro seem to be a good choice I think, been quoted £720 fitted is this reasonable? Price includes VAT and the government grant of £350. Should be an easy install, charger will be around 2m from the RCD and meter. Thanks

Anyone know anything about Solar PV and Batteries

With the soaring price of grid electricity was thinking about maybe getting Solar PV and battery setup at home. Worth it or waste of money? Confused by the numbers though. Let's say I got a 6kW solar PV array and 8.2kW battery storage. Could this be used to charge up the old MG5, if so how much...

Just test drove the MG5 - very quick!

It wheel spun in sport mode at over 30mph! Either the tyres were bad or it’s just got lots of torque ? Only a quick test but felt nice to drive. Very rapid but some body roll on the twisty lane. ACC was very good. How do you precondition the car - timer or just switching on the car and...

    Dashboard warning yellow triangles

Driving round the M25 at around 70 today I noticed two yellow triangles had come on in the dashboard. I reckon they'd come on at the same time, and later in the journey I noticed they'd both gone off. The book says the lower one will illuminate when the speed limit sign currently recognised has...
