    Battery Heater

MG5 Exclusive: I thought the battery heater function was for speeding up a charge particularly in cold weather or when the motor is cold but I would be interested to know if anyone uses it when driving, particularly now the weather has turned colder? If so, what affect does it have on range?

    Tesco Pod Point price increase?

Just to point out that Tesco charging points have increased their prices from 28p per kwh up to 50p. Not sure if this is everywhere or just my area (pembrokeshire) but worth keeping an eye on it.

    Gridserve Rapid Charging Issue

I am now 22 months in to MG5EV ownership (standard range) and I have just come across a weird problem. On a recent trip to Scotland (motorway up and down) I had to use the blooming gridserve facilities (always a heart rending experience at 60+p per kWh). I encountered a consistent problem with...

    Alarm!

New owner of an MG 5 and I’m quite impressed however I’m having to leave a door slightly open whilst charging to avoid auto lock and the alarm going off. I’m using a 7.2kW home charger recently installed by a qualified electrician so I’m assuming it’s something I’m doing wrong or there’s a fault...

Never deny yourself a bit of heating otherwise what's the point ? You must also be one of the few remaining owners that has the Lane Departure Warning enabled. :)

    Floor mats

Sorry if it's a bit mundane but does anyone know where I can get 'proper' rubber mats for my MG5? The ones I've bought for now are just patterned flat rubber sheet without sides to keep debris in place.

    Updated Octopus Go Charging Costs

Topped up my MG5 last night with the 7.5p/kWh new rate. Put in 26.9kWh at a cost of £2 which is 65p more than the old rate, but still a saving on petrol/diesel equivalent.

    Boot mounted cycle carrier

Does anyone have any links or actual example of a boot mounted cycle carrier for a MK1 MG5. Would like to fit one before a holiday next year, don't want the drag and height limitations of roof mounting. If you have one how visable are the lights and number plate with a cycle on.

    Tacky/sticky steering wheel

When ambient temperature is over 14 degrees, my steering wheel on my MG5 feels a little sticky/tacky. Have tried cleaning etc, but has not sorted it. Wondered if any others owners have the same thing or may have a suggestion to fix this? Cheers

    Parking brake (and autohold) query

Hi all. I just returned from a week’s holiday and used our MG5 after it had been sitting on the drive for a week. When my wife tried to reverse it off the drive it didn’t want to move but then eventually did after a fairly loud clunking noise from the car. My suspicion is that the parking brake...
