Yes it's not the greatest picture, but it doesn't look half bad.

I'm quite glad about that . I really don't like the look of the new car. I like the "sharpness" of the current version.

The current version is a bold design especially at the front. Im sure they can make it even better. That new version looks a bit underwhelming tbh.

I think you will be waiting a while. Semi-solid state will initially have quite a price premium, so I think they will focus it on the IM5 and IM6 high-end MGs.

And I was completely wrong... the new MG4 is the first car getting the semi-solid state battery.

I must say the new look is growing on me as is the greater range, performance and space, it is around 150kg lighter (SE) and that's with a 70kWh battery! I now want this, so have to hope MG UK change their mind and bring it here.

Spoke to my dealer today while I was there, they report:

• MG4 interior facelift due later this year (to match MGS5).
• New MG4 due next year.

So it sounds like the Chinese get the new car a year earlier than we do.
