Are you locking the car after connecting up.
The only time my lights are on is when I preheat it.
Which I'm also not keen on,
But no lights when normal charging

Is there an "OFF" position on the light switch on the 4 ?
If so, maybe that would keep them off ?

Check some of the setting from below. When I tested a MG 4 after locking it the back light stayed on but did not have time to investigate.

Strangely, I just was wondering why my lights were starting on when I locked the car... If fiddled with the light mode and taken them off auto. Maybe try paying with toggle switch on the lighting stalk.

When they were off auto the message "lights on" Das displayed on the screen when I locked the car. Have a look for that too.

Hope you get out sorted, those red tail lights are very bright!
