Diagnostic VDI, VNCI, MDI with MG4

Hi!
Could someone with access to SIPS check the Programming History and Software List using the vehicle's VIN number? I’d like to verify whether the SC077 update was performed on my first service and if any additional updates were made to the modules, considering that the charging module was replaced during the repair of the rear part of the vehicle.
I will send VIN nuber via DM.
Thanks!

Hello!
I need a little help understanding how SIPs works and how it reads data from my car.

Is it possible in SIPs, without using an adapter or connecting directly to the car, to check what was last done in terms of programming, configuration, and similar actions, by using only the car’s VIN number?

hi there. i have paid for a subscription and got a user name for sips. unfortunately the password field is blank. I have contacted support and they have replied and been helpful, however they say it may be tomorrow before they sort the lack of a password in China.

does anybody remember what the snw password they were assigned was? i have a feeling the password never changes and just the user name does.

So if anyone knows their password...

I had the same issue last week. Guess something is up.

At the end of July, it also didn't display a password. At the beginning of August, it worked. Pretty annoying.

Finally got the account to work.

Now i tried do oneclick updates (ignoring FVCM for now). Everything seems to be updated. Except for FICM. For some reason i cant update that.

I've already updated infotainment via usb to R40 (SE 2023 car). But this SIPS update fails every time. The error i get on the right side is "PPF file is missing" or something like that.

Any ideas how to tackle this?

Hi all. I recently purchased a 2024 MG extended range from Copart (car salvage auction) we have it all fixed now and I have a couple of issues. The first is there are a lot of warmings on the dash when it's turned on and the second is it only came with one key. I have bought a second hand key but I now need to programme the key to the car and clear the codes. Both of these need access to sips with the VDI box. Before I bought buy off AliExpress I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to do this with me for a cost for your time. I am based in Nottingham but happy to drive a couple of hours. I still may end up buying a VDI in the future, but just thought I would ask the question first as we are a good community.

You need to update ficm via usb stick
Ok so things i've done so far

Downgraded to R38
Installed tbox software SNAKP23E32
Pulled 12V battery for 10 minutes

Tried again. Still getting the same PPS file is missing error.

Anything else i should update via USB?

Edit: i've noticed in MG manual, that AVN-VIP can/needs to be updated via USB as well... What update file would that be?

A few updates:

Updated back to R40
Updated MCU via USB to 69.4.6.0

Now every tick in SIPS is gree. But i still get warnings for ACC, drowsiness, front sign recognition, front collision etc.. (and possibly something i've forgot).

Now if i look at the SIPS, every module seems to be updated. But one odditiy is present; At FICM, secondary application it says "FFFFFFF" and actual server version is marked as "--"

Is this even related to my issues or is there some calibration that has to be done?

Update 2:

Guess all it took was to drive a little and all faults went away. Now everything seems to be working as it should.

Still perplexed by the "FFFFFF"s on the FICM, but i guess that's normal.
Hopefully this exercise fixed the blody HVAC now.

The android infotainment is one part of the ficm and the MCU, tbox and VIP must be updated via USB before executing sips updates on these systems.

For the person trying to program a key, it's quite simple via sips though it must be a brand new virgin key PCB and not a used key from eBay or the like.

Thank you, i realized that. I was under the impression that FICM MCU updates are done via SIPS. But guess not, at least not on SE/Standard model.
