Can another Aussie check their app and see if they can still set/change the target % for charging? My app updated to 2.2.2 and now I can’t make this change any more from the app. I have an Essence so I should be able to (the app does display the car is still in long journey mode). Tried both themes but it seems to have disappeared.

I did it two days ago and it worked fine. I have the latest app AFAIK xx

Yes. From the main MG page, go to EV management, then click on the hex "nut" at the top right, then Target Battery Level.

Yes, in addition to using the slider whilst changing, I also confirmed that the "hex nut" could also be used when not charging...
I'm thinking it's a @ReintjeWA specific issue...

*And yes, v2.2.2 of the app updated earlier this month.

Does the Aussie v2.2.2 have different themes available? (In the UK we have Light and 100 Years themes). If yes then people might see different things depending on which theme they've selected. :)

Was the question about rate, or was it about limit? (i.e. maximum SoC).
The thing I can no longer control through the app is the limit (xx% SoC).

Re-installing the app did nothing. Maybe I'll unbind and re-bind the car, but I can't say it bothers me enough to spend a lot of time on.

The AU version has light, dark & 100 years themes. I use the 100 years theme. The maximum charge can be set to pretty much any %. 80% & under states 'Health Mode & 90-100% states long journey mode.

Also I agree with decrep. Sometimes when I have the car connected to the 7kW EVSE & it is set for scheduled charging & the sun is out with plenty of free solar energy, I'll select "Start Charging" & it fails to start. Leave it for a couple of minutes & it decides to wake up & starts charging. Other times it starts instantly. Dunno why but I don't really care.

Yes. Mine's charging past 80% right now.

2.2.2 has also returned the manuals - I've had no access to manuals in the app since 2.x arrived (others have, but now mine's returned)

When I did a test drive in an MG4, I noticed the Cruise Control incremented/decremented the speed by 5kph when I tapped the adjustment switch up or down. Just received my new MG4, and it now increments/decrements by 1kph when you tap the switch, and 5kph if you hold it for about a second. (The latest user manual, black cover, was updated to reflect that change)
Is that change due to the latest software update for the MG4, or just a model difference?

Yes think you have a newer software.

It a mess in OZ everyone on different and no way for end user to compare.

Mine (2023 XP) came like that (1km increments, long press for 5km?) but elsewhere on this forum I read it came with an update. Previously it was as per your test drive.

It's a later version of the software, yes.

Not necessarily the latest though. There have likely been updates since that change was made, but you're definitely better off with a version that exhibits that behavior than earlier software/firmware which worked in the opposite manner.

Thanks to those who answered. I looked further back in this thread and found a link to a list of changes in recent software update(s), including this and the keeping the follow distance setting.
