MG4 Software Update Thread

There is a service portfolio at iSmart Europe with all the things that should be included at the service (Service A and service B) software updates is part of both of them.
This should be part of the service cost.

Its not something that the dealer have a "say". Its part of the official manufacturer service program in the EU.
That is one of the printouts (in French) I took to my dealer two weeks ago, and was rejected along with my indignation. They did relent when I stated a fault and put it through under warranty but I did not get the full updates I was expecting through that document. They responded with their own MG documents which they claimed , said, that updates were now payable.

Are you indicating that MG changed the contract conditions without informing you?

I know, it isn't how you should work with customers. But dealers are restricted to what SAIC/MG made 'available' and 'for free'.

Today I had annual service, and got R67 on my er77.
I didn't know R67 exist LOL
Also got new ACC, and maybe I'm going crazy, but driving is a bit smoother.

TBH I didn´t have much problems with bluetooth connection, I had to reconnect maybe 5 times for the past year, but that was one of the "reasons". Most complaining I had about cruise control (ACC), for braking in slight curves. Actually I used to all of that in the past one year period, but why not. Why not update to the latest version. I found also that lane keeping assist is much calmer, but I didn't have problems with that before also LOL.
This what I got is "everything the same but a bit better", and that is what updates are for :)

Hi everyone,

Today I got my software updates installed. The car was on R40 since we got it almost 4 months ago, but I got tired of constantly having to reconnect our phones - so I mentioned that to our dealer couple days ago. They updated both the infotainment to R67 and the HVAC system. The whole process took them about 45-50 minutes.

I will need a few days to see if all the bugs are now fixed, but so far so good 👍
