Missing the version

Am I the only one who regrets the fact that posts now only refer to the poster having an “MG4”? I found the version info really helpful in connection with whatever was being discussed. O venerable Admin and Mods, for this forum anyway, might it not be possible to revert to what we had?

Unfortunately there will be no going back @dsr, but if you do a bit of imaginative fiddling like I've done, you can improve it a bit.

I'd never noticed that. How come it's changed. That's not really an improvement. It was handy knowing the exact model.

If you go into your account details and scroll down to the bottom, you will see the 'about you' section. You can put the car model and anything else you want in there. That way the database fields are not filled up.

No it's not really supposed to be an 'improvement', Stuart just wanted to trim it down to the core models.

Like @MG Clive I've added my model details into the Location field.

(They're also in my forum signature which is visible below all of my posts ... turn your mobile device to Landscape orientation to see it).
