MG exclusive 2020 model with slightly under 95%SOH

I did Birmingham to Cardiff 110miles on Sunday was about 2°C with 2 adult passengers and full heavy load. Was panicking a little towards the end but did manage it on a single charge.

I find best to keep motor power as close to 15% as possible. Speed will vary between 55 to 70+ mph depending on up or down hill) occasionally upto 30% power but no more for long-distance driving.

Morning Forum,
I have a MG ZS EV Trophy Long Range, I have had the car from new and it was delivered about 6 weeks ago. All the literature that I have for the vehicle mentions the range for the Long Range being 273 miles when fully charged. I find that extending the battery to long Range journeys (100%), I only get between 208 and 213 miles from a full 100% charge.
Is this right and if so, how/why?

This is the MG4 section of the forum. You might get better replies asking in the ZS section.
@dawson2099 is correct, though, it's winter.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
There are a number of threads on this just put a few words in the search bar.
The cold and speed are real range killers, wait until the summer to get a better range.

Ive not long had my Mg4 too and the range isn't ideal either but the way i look at it its the worst its going to be, once March, April comes ill be seeing better figures...another reason to look forward to spring

I appreciate speed, lights, heat etc all reduce the battery power quicker and impacts on distance, my point is that when it is supposed to be 273 miles range when fully charged its not.... hence the question; charged or fully charged.... regardless of how I drive the vehicle, surely it should start with 273 miles if it's shouldn't it?

And you're misunderstanding the answers you've been given. The range when fully charged depends precisely on how you do drive (and have been driving) the car, and the ambient conditions. 273 miles is the WLTP test result range - virtually nobody gets WLTP range in the real world, even under ideal conditions ... and that's with any EV, not just the MG4 or other MG EVs.

Why would you want the car to lie to you, when you're never going to get that range out of the car? It is a GoM (Guess-o-Meter) but at least it tries to tell a semblance of truth. :)

You'll likely get the idealised range in midsummer. It equates to around 4 miles/kWh whereas at this time of the year you are going to be seeing something closer to 3 miles/kWh.

This is the correct answer, but I will add if you zero your trips you may get closer to the WLTP range but as you start driving it will continually adjust the range based on your historic and current driving style.
