An all electric version made its debut as EZS at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show, featuring a 44.5 kWh battery, and a front positioned motor producing 143 PS (141 hp; 105 kW) or 150 PS (148 hp; 110 kW) and 350 N⋅m (35.7 kg⋅m; 258 lb⋅ft) to the front wheels. It is available in the United Kingdom, parts of Europe, Thailand, China, and India.

It was revealed in Australia in November 2020 as the cheapest electric car in the market of all time. MG Australia predicted a sales target of 3,000 unit for the 2021 model year.

Except for China, the electric SUV is officially named as ZS EV, while the official name in China is EZS.

Potential MG ZS EV Buyer - Some Questions!

Hi All, I took a test drive in the MG ZS EV recently and was impressed. That said, it was the first EV I've driven so at the time didn't have anything to compare it to, but overall I came away feeling positive about the car. I have a couple of questions, which I'm sure you've heard before, so...

MG ZS EV European vs UK model

Comparing the specs of the European and UK model on the websites, a few things stood out as different in the EU model: Lane Change Warning (I think we have it in the UK but not listed separately in spec list) Slush door trim (what the heck does this mean?) e-call system (I think the UK model...

    MG ZS EV Servicing Costs

When I was picking up my car, the dealer did a bit of a sales pitch on the servicing costs. My usual instinct whenever a sales pitch is triggered is to walk away, but on this occasion it seemed to make logical sense - although I still despise these hidden extra costs on the day. "Here's the car...

    Howdy, neighbour!

As I have said in previous forum threads, I'm loving this car now, and I can only excuse what I did on Tuesday of this week, as an act of "spreading the love!" In Inverness, heading out the old Beauly Road, I saw a red MG ZS coming toward me. I can't say for sure if it was an EV, as it was hard...

Picking up my new ZS EV tomorrow - Pod-Point or Rolec?

Hi, Apologise if the question has been answered elsewhere, I've been doing the research, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Am I correct in saying that both Pod-point and Rolec will do delayed / timed charging with the ZS EV? On the assumption that as a new car, all updates have...

Passenger Seat modification - would it work?

Hello, all. This is aimed at the techie forum members (of which I am NOT one!) If the ZS EVs in Europe, with left hand drive, also have electrically adjustable seats (do they?), would it be possible to buy a European drivers seat, and fit it as a UK electrically adjustable passenger's seat? Or...

I found a set of super cheap universal mats...
