usb
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard that establishes specifications for cables, connectors and protocols for connection, communication and power supply (interfacing) between computers, peripherals and other computers. A broad variety of USB hardware exists, including 14 different connector types, of which USB-C is the most recent and the only one not currently deprecated since the release of USB 3.2.
First released in 1996, the USB standards are maintained by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). The four generations of USB are: USB 1.x, USB 2.0, USB 3.x, and USB4.
Is there only one USB port that is connected to the infotainment system? I usually have an USB stick with music on in my car, and would be nice if I could use both the stick and phone with android auto at the same time.
On my previous MG ZS EV I could access all my USB music files as a list of individual artists i.e. Beatles or Rolling Stones as albums. On the new Trophy all I can get is a list of songs in alphabetical order and cannot select an album or artist. Very irritating when it plays music from every...
I've had my HS Phev for a couple of weeks now, and generally am very satisfied. I have a small minor problem:
When playing my MP3 collection from a USB stick, tracks will sometimes 'skip'. This can be quite random in its effect. Sometimes it will be after just a few seconds of a track, at...
Me again !!
Looked in the infotainment system manual and searched on here to no avail.
Stuck a usb stick in the new car and it scanned all the file on there but shows the tracks in alphabetical order but I can't seem to get it to show the folders.
Any ideas peoples??
I have placed an order for a MG ZS EV Trophy Long Range and I want to know if I need to use a special port on the car's 4 main USB ports for USB music playback?
Hi all! I have just bought myself a 2019 ZS EV Exclusive, very excited! I am working out what dashcam to buy and was wondering what usb sockets the car has? Does anyone know if there are any near the rear view mirror and boot? Thanks!
Hi!
Please can anyone help?
One of my rear USB ports has broken when I plugged in a cable!
Does anyone know anywhere apart from a main dealer that I could get a replacement hub! Tried Ali express but it’s a mine field!
Any and all help is appreciated
Per the title- I’ve got a vague recollection that this has been discussed before but can’t seem to locate the original thread.
I would guess that would be why one was placed there (presumably switched by the “ignition”?)- if so I can reuse the one from my current chariot & just buy a diddy USB...
which model comes with rear usb charging ports
We have an MG5 evlr but can’t seem to find any usbs in the back any advice on where they should be
With thanks in advance
Hi all,
Is there workaround for navigating folders with mp3 files (or sort the songs by album)?
Currently I have several hundred USB files in different folders. When you plug in UBS infotainment system shows you all seven hundred songs by name (not even by album) completely mixed. Search is...
Morning ?
I took the chance and ordered a short USB cable from Amazon to go from the port on the rear view mirror mount to the dashcam. See the pictures attached for how it looks…
I was advised that the two front USB sockets consist of 1 for Data and 1 for charging. I wanted to insert a micro USB for Music in one and maybe use the second USB for Android Auto.
Skimming through the manual on the PC I noted this:
'There are two USB ports (1 and 2) located at the left side...
Anyone with a 2022 ZS able to give me a rough idea of the length of cable I would need to connect a dashcam to the top USB port?
I position my dashcam on the passenger side, but the port is on the drivers side(?) so would need to go around the "hump".
Also, do you think would it be practical to...
OK, so this is my last stupid question.... Yeh right! Here goes.
The new ZS mod 2 has 2 USB C sockets in the back...... Are they just charging ports or are they data too? I.e. can we access media plugged in there?
My USB ports function fine but the charge rate is extremely slow. It's just enough to maintain power while using a smartphone but that's it. The manual doesn't have anything.
Haven't yet got the Android app to measure the charge exactly but does anyone know what I should expect to get from...
I can’t find the original thread but someone was pointing out that a standard usb connector to the CarPlay USB port fouled the smooth closure of the sliding cover. Can confirm that this style works well, doesn’t obstruct the lid closure and at 0.6 m long reach the side pocket into which you can...
