No - the car will throttle the rate.

If you always rapid charge it will shorten battery life, but battery life is so huge it won't matter for most people.

I saw 142 kW a couple of times in the summer.

This was the fastest I've seen and been able to record, at Gridserve Rugby.

I think I was over 140kw at EV Point chargers at Rivington Services, but I was already too jaded to record it at that point.

Got 199kw at Ionity Leeds, although that is with the EV6, not expecting anywhere near that in the MG4.

It isn't just the peak but the shape of the curve. I know nothing about the EV6, but the MG4 LR curve maintains a good rate right up into the 80-90s, albiet much less than 140kW after 50%.
