Someone posted on the MG4 Facebook group today that they'd been contacted by their dealer to bring the car in for a newly released software update.
Has anyone here heard anything like that?

Only thing I've had was an email today telling me my roadside assistance had been extended after the recent service.

I didn't hear anything from my dealer. Last time I was in the lady at the service desk told me they do all updates as part of the regular service, and only do updates in between if you have issues (that specific updates may fix). So I personally wouldn't expect to be asked to come in for a new update.

Don' t know if this is just how this dealer handles updates of course.

Be great to know what updates for OZ, entertainment I think Excite R05 and others R11.
I know mine has different AEB than others as it defaults to medium each drive and does not take low.
Due 1st service next month.

Also went to the EV show the other week the hatch opened with not much effort compared to mine and another I tried .. Part # the same just a newer batch .

Taking a mini road trip in my MG4 77 tomorrow from Brisbane to Narrabri and return on Sunday afternoon - will sleep in the car as well with the back seats down and a sleeping blanket - see how it goes

Ok back from my 3 day 2 night car camping adventure to north western NSW.

Few things to report (mind you this in middle of winter and overnight temps are 1°C where I was).

Brisbane to Toowoomba EV consumption was 20 kWh/100km.

Toowoomba to Goondiwindi around 20kwWh/100km.

Goondiwindi to Narrabri (110km/h zone) up to 24kwWh/100km (strong westerly headwind).

On the way back Moree to Goondiwindi (early morning driving back around 7am I see the temp outside from the inside of the car at 1°C.

About 10 kms from Goondiwindi I get an alarm on the dash front camera blocked (something similar) so Cruise control stopped working, LKA, FCA stopped.

Anyway when I arrive at the DC charger at Goondiwindi I cleaned the front camera with a cloth because there was a lot of insect splatter on the front.

About 1 minute after driving off I get the warning again, oh no, so here I go back home with no cruise control and other features.

About an hour later when the temps were about 12 degrees the warnings went off and everything was back to normal. Could be due to the cold weather ?

Besides the very high consumption and this error message the car drove very well for a total of 1213km.

yes however I did wipe it and it came on again but then went off and hasn't come on since

nah, after I charged at Goondiwindi it got a little warmer around 7 - 8°C - no freezing weather.
