Ok thanks for the information, I will go to another tyre shop and see if it fits at the back - they may have only tried it in the front.
I guess it depends if they are charging for it or not. One way to drum up some business.Someone posted on the MG4 Facebook group today that they'd been contacted by their dealer to bring the car in for a newly released software update.
Has anyone here heard anything like that?
FYI ... 4WD 64kWh is the XPower. This is what I found on the interweb about brake disc sizes.
MG4 Brake Disc Sizes:
- 2WD 51kWh & 64kWh:
- Front: 280mm Ventilated
- Rear: 260mm Ventilated
- 4WD 64kWh & 2WD 77kWh:
- Front: 320mm Ventilated
- Rear: 280mm Ventilated
- XPOWER:
- Front: 345mm Ventilated
- Rear: 340mm Ventilated
It must be true thenRight. But that makes the information inconsistent. Yet it came from the internet...![]()
I copied that info straight from the internet, but it may have been AI-generated.FYI ... 4WD 64kWh is the XPower.![]()
XPOWER:
- Front: 345mm Ventilated
- Rear: 340mm Ventilated
This is correct for the Xpower.
Even though MG promised "ventilated 345mm discs on all four corners"
Less unsprung mass. This is correct for the Xpower.

For sure, the rears are 8mm thinner as well, 30mm front and 22mm rear.Less unsprung mass.
yes however I did wipe it and it came on again but then went off and hasn't come on sinceTentative theory:
At low temps, condensation on the windscreen could freeze with windchill. Ice in front of the camera could be as bad as bugs?????
nah, after I charged at Goondiwindi it got a little warmer around 7 - 8°C - no freezing weather.Wipe the bugs, goes off, start driving with a bit of moisture, which freezes. back on, ice melts goes off.
