Wireless CarPlay working on the dash

Has anyone managed to find a wireless CarPlay dongle that can work with the dashboard too? When you use wired the dash shows the song etc… Has anyone got one that works for that or maybe even does more? I figure one of those fancy Ai wireless dongles that actually have android built in to them would probably work but don’t want to spend money on one to find out it doesn’t do what I wanted.

What exactly do you mean? When you're on the normal Home screen the Media section shows the song being played, as does the top-left of the screen on the top banner bar?

If yes then the one I use (Android Auto not Apple CP, but should work the same) does that perfectly fine .. as long as the media input is set to the AA source.

When using a wire the screen in front of the steering wheel can display the current song

Ah. I have an SE so that's not an option anyway for me.

But a wireless dongle shouldn't matter vs wired - it's the same interface, just using a different connection method.

Yh but weirdly my wireless dongle doesn’t work the dashboard, I have seen ones advertised that they do work with it but unsure how true that is.

I haven't found one yet that displays media info on the speedo screen. luckily i not need that feature anyway.

Ultimately id like to find a way to do navigation directions on there like the car itself
