    Scottish Highland Range Anxiety!

The Charge Place Scotland Network charging needs to be better - had to feather the throttle down to 6% in the middle of the Scottish highlands at 6C and finally reached a working rapid charger almost in darkness! No heating for last 30miles! Talk about range anxiety! 1st choice rapid charger...

Utterly unbelievable customer support! Anyone from MG like to comment?

I know the education system is supposed to be dumbed down but this is surely taking the biscuit. There has been discussion elsewhere on this board about the reduction gearbox oil being specified as Shell SL2808, and no one knowing anything about it. See Reduction Box Oil I thought I'd see what...

Heating capacity only seems to be 3kw

Hi, I was wondering if people could post the voltage/amps at rest with heating turned off and then with heating on at max. I'm only getting 3kw and it really is struggling to get the cabin warm. I am wondering if I am missing a "bar" on the heater. I got the car in March but only had a few...

    Anyone successfully converted the 'frunk'?

I've had a search around the forum and can find very little regarding building storage under the bonnet of the MG5. A few users have built something for the ZS, but there's very little regarding the 5. There's a good example on this video around the 2min 20 mark ((1) 2021 Electric MG5 LR -...

    Availability of accessories

Hi Just joined the MG forum. I have just traded in my MG5 for the long range version and I thought I would treat myself the protection pack, so put one on order with my local dealer. Muddled by mud flaps

Quick query, as there have been quite a few mentions of mud flaps on here, but none with a solution to my problem. I've just received a set of the Ali Express mud flaps mentioned on here a few weeks ago, but fitting the front right one is proving nigh impossible. There's a recess in the wheel...

Hi All, On occasions I get a message on the dash of my 5 LR saying something along the lines of 'Autonomous Emergency Braking Unavailable'. Anybody else get this? The message generally goes away after the car has been turned off and back on but that's not very convenient to do when in the...

Searching for power in the great beyond

Currently in Shetland, really putting the 2 week old MG5 LR through its paces. Howling winds, squally showers, twisty roads, etc., with 4 on board and often a serious amount of luggage/kit. So it's hard work for the motor, plus lights on, wipers on, AC on, heated rear window on, satnav on...

    Conditional speed limit detected

Hi folks. I’ve had my MG5 EV LR for three weeks and I’m rather pleased with it. But I often get a warning on the dash which says ‘conditional speed limit detected’ followed by a yellow warning triangle. It seems to come on randomly. I’ve been through the menus and turned off Speed limit...

    Long-ish Drive

    MG5 EV heater off

Hello everyone, we have had MG5 exclusive for 5 months and we love it. Just wanted to ask a question about the heating/climate control system. MG5 LR 1)Low voltage battery maintenance 2)Jacking car with trolley jack sill adapter

Two questions (please) from a fairly new MG5 owner. 1) I have read in the handbook (not the most clear handbook) that to improve the life of the 12 volt battery it is recommended to set the power mode to ready for half an hour once a week - is this in addition to regularly driving the car or...
