Thanks for this. I just went and checked and this hadn't been done on my MG4 that was delivered 6 weeks ago. I'm getting some other warranty work done soon so I'll ask for this to be done at the same time.

Glad to help. Make sure you send them a photo of the undertray sagging and bulletin number and request them to order parts in advance so they're ready for you to come in for service fix

I personally have not found the LKA to be any worse that any other car I've driven with it. Owners of numerous brands of both ICE & EVs have been complaining about LKA for years.

I have found if you drive accurately it isn't a real problem. I've never encountered any issues on narrow country roads where road edges or lines of leaves have been interpreted as lane markings by the system. A simpler one key switch off would be all that is required since it must be on by default to get the 5 star ANCAP rating.

There are enough people complaining about LKA in this car to make it clear that it is "too enthusiastic" about taking control when cruise control is on and the car is on a narrow road or road with poor markings

Quite the opposite here, because I've experienced good LKA I Know how bad the MG is!
My Holden has LKA and as long as it's on well marked roads, it's easy to live with, (another story on unmarked bush roads) I haven't tried the MG on bush roads because I have it switched off all the time. It's absolutely horrible even on the lowest setting.

LKA should not have any connection with ACC. (i.e. the LKA should either be good or bad in any given situation regardless of whether or not ACC is being used). The only commonality is that they both use the windscreen camera for detection.

I have to agree my LKA is great no problem at all.

I haven't had any issues with the LKA on my MG4 either. I find the LKA on the MUXs and Outlanders at work far worse.

I've only done about 3000km in the 6 weeks I've had the car with most of that on country roads and about a third on the Hume. The experiences others have had with the LKA sound very scary. It's weird how variable it is.

I think that is part of the problem. LKA is designed to operate on good highways with well defined markings. No problem if you are on the Pacific Highway. I would have it turned off always on narrow roads or any with poor markings.

I'd just like a single tap or button to turn it off, not the current 4 taps on the infotainment screen to do this. I understand there is a shortcut in the later software versions. Many other cars are bad as well, some worse.

I vaguely recall reading that in some later versions of firmware holding down the steering wheel ACC button disables it. That doesn't work for me but it would be a good option as it's something you can do with reasonable safety while driving.

Even when I disable LKA, sometimes the system turns it back on. I don't know how or why but I've had this happen a few times, latest was on Saturday when driving back from Dorrigo to Bellingen. Part way through the drive I found the LKA had been reenabled.

Much better would be a system that just worked properly as it's nice to just drive the car with default settings, get in and go, not need some rocket pre-launch sequence.

I havent needed to disable LKA since I got used to it. It's no different to the 2024 Tiguan I use as family car. It is ok most of the time, only get funky when there are too many lines on the road (due to road work, old lines/new lines on roads, etc).

No - later versions of the software (for ACC not Infotainment) allow you to toggle between ACC and TJA by holding down the ACC button on the steering wheel. This has no impact on LKA operation.

Bummer. Anyway, I hope the updates do improve things. Keenly awaiting the information on the fix to be rolled out by MG.

So…. Just to be clear. Even with LKA, AEB and Front Collision Assist disabled. The ACC will still hit the brakes on a straight well marked road. Is that what owners are experiencing?

Any Supercharger site which receives govt support funding will be open to all EVs. Any other sites Tesla installs it is entirely up to them whether to open them up for non-Tesla use.

A little over half of their Supercharger sites are open to non-Teslas.

NLMGSAN, suggested that, it would be a good idea to compare Australian firmware versions, so we can keep track of what's up to date, and what effect different versions have on our driving experience. I've no idea how upto date mine is, but the numbers seem to lag the EU version

PS - that's only for the SE spec ... the Trophy and above spec uses as different mechanism to access these screens. (Search this board for 200519).
