Just read 20 pages on subject. Definitely wont get that time back! Consensus was to pump to 260Kpa / 2.6bar minimum All round. pref more. That a 4 Kpa (<2%) delta should send a alert to your phone is somewhat ridiculous IMO. That why i wondered if there was a way to increase the delta. I dont really want to turn notifications off entirely. What is annoying , we had none for first 8 months.
Half the time now they are all equal with alarm light up.
I have a big compressor in the garage I'm going to try the deflate & reflate test all round.

Mine came with 3.0 bar from the dealership, it dropped to 2.5 with the onset of colder mornings, so put some more air in. Now they hover around 2.6/2.7 in the morning, up to about 2.8/2.9 when driving for a while.

TPMS alarms going off as the weather cools is not unheard of anyway.

No alerts for me. These are my recorded tyre pressures over last seven days:

My rear right (orange dots) always loses pressure ever so slightly faster than the other tyres. Has done since day one.

Can see the spread in pressure is ~ 0.16 bar = 16 kPa = ~ 2.3 psi.

So I find it a bit strange that an alert would be issued for a pressure spread of just 4 kPa.

I have a portable battery powered compressor (Ryobi) I use to pump them up. Works really well. Looks like I need to attend to rear right again.

Yep, I think you’re right. I was attributing the “left rear or right front low” (whatever) to a delta triggering the warning but after bringing them all up to ~260 kPa and resetting, the 4kPa delta doesn’t issue a warning any longer. I think they were alerting as they were too low. Nicer ride tho on lower.

When the alarm went off in the 51, I pumped them all up to 280 and it took it a few hrs to figure out that the tyres were now all pumped up to the higher pressure ..... but it has settled down now ..... and the doors open over the guards on the trailer now

Gotta say, this V2L has been magic. With temps dropping into the minus numbers on our trip from Horsham, the Echuca, then last night at Jugiong camp ground and now at Warri Reserve just out of Braidwood where looks as though it might drop to -4°C or worse in the early hrs, it's 0° now at 8pm ..... can't wait to reach the coast ... where anything in the single digits is considered freezing
When I rang friends there to tell them when we would be over that way, they said to pack lots of winter woolies, it dropped to 11°C over night a few nights back

The right rear on mine is the same. Our cars were sold only a few days apart as far as I know and from the same shipment. I wondered if it was the TPM itself but a check with my very accurate analogue gauge confirmed it loses pressure faster than the others.

I have a twin piston high speed pump & set it to 260 kPa rather than the standard 250. Of course the system takes a few km to set the new pressures, & then it increases as they warm up. I don't notice any difference in the ride comfort

Powershop have told me the EV day plan I am on is changing on 1 July in line with the electricity price increases everywhere. The big shock is the supply charge that is going from $1.10 a day to $2.2291 a day. That is $69.10 in a 31 day month without using any electricity at all just to be connected to the grid. Wow.

Anyway I checked & the current offer is supply $1.87 so I called them & they put me on the new plan. Supply charge $1.87/day, Peak usage $0.4835/kWh (5pm-8pm Mon-Fri) Shoulder & Off Peak $0.2965/kWh all other times & all day Sat/Sun. This is reduced from the old flat charge of $0.3265/kWh 24/7 except the 2 hours free each day.

The solar feed in tariff has not changed at $0.014/kWh

Also I still get free power every day from midday to 2pm and for some reason they have given me a $100.00 credit on my account.

Advice for all. Never accept any change they tell you about. Check the prices on line & call them & make sure you get a better deal.

I just looked at the Essential Energy supply charge for residential connections BLNRSS2 ToU Sunsoaker & it is $1.3776/day plus GST so $1.5154/day from 1 July 25 so the retailer margin is added to that. Where did you get $2.7791 from?

That's Powershop's Night EV plan based on the Sunsoaker two rate TOU tariff. I also have controlled load which has a separate daily charge.

I just checked, and our rate hasn't changed. Plug in and wait for the sun to come up ..... at least until they figure out how to tax the sun.
At the moment, we are in the Illawarra and plugged in at our friend's place. Seems number of a different Govt depts paid into her electricity bill because they offer assistance as she is a disability pensioner, technically blind and a renal transplant survivor ...... and she now has enough credit to last her for a few yrs ..... unfortunately, they all discovered they were paying her electricity bills and have now stopped ...... the irony of the whole thing, only the customer can get a credit for over paid electricity charges, and because she doesn't have the account details they were paid from, she can only use up the credits .....

I thought my supply charge increase was steep. That's obscene!

I'm on a demand tariff with Essential. I got my new prices for my AGL EV plan this week and the supply charge increase is not good but not as terrible as Powershop. I have a home battery so most of the time the demand tariff doesn't matter. Except this month - the overcast days have been terrible!

EV Charge rate is from 0000 to 0600 every day.

I'm getting a bit more home battery now - after discussing it my wife suggested we up the battery to the 32 kWh option and we are also getting a dedicated EV charge station for her car, which will be integrated with the Sigenergy system for smart charging from solar and super off-peak if needed.

The dedicated charger station a bit of overkill as the relatively simple Home Assistant automation I'd set up for her car's charging with the plug-in unit is working quite well but it does depend on the car's communications being reliable, and I'm not sure that's a wise choice longer term.

My existing EV charge station cable does not easily reach her car's charge port unless her car is reverse parked (which she won't attempt) and even then it means the charge cable would be in the way of my car leaving the garage, so instead of relocating my charge station so it could serve both cars, I've decided to leave it where it is so it can also be used for charging a visitor's car parked outside the garage.

In the end I just want to not have to think about it, she can plug in and it'll all happen automagically. She loves her new car!

I have nitrogen in my tyres no pressure drops or increase with temp and red valve cap indicating nitrogen in tyres not air .

Interesting. The air is 78% Nitrogen & 21% oxygen so it must be oxygen or the other 1% of other gasses that permeates through the tyre wall or valve. That said the pressures stay at their set level for a long time & it is usually only with changes in the ambient temperature that eventually trigger a low pressure alarm. Then as soon as you get on the road and the tyres start to warm up the alarm disappears with the increase in pressure.

probably not for all google search and form an opinion yes or no I bet for 7-10 dollar's a tyre 1st fill I vote yes , especially if your MG 4 gets wings.

O2 does leak faster than N2. N2 is a relatively larger molecule (not by much but it's enough to slow the rate of loss down). It will still leak however and so maintaining pressures is still required and it costs more money and is less convenient. It's a waste of time and money for normal road use. Just check the tyres and inflate as/when required.

Like I said not for everyone, but good for me no alarms and no pumping air for over 12 months I did this to cure my low pressure warnings
