I'm on R42 on both my Excite 51's, but I installed it myself from a USB stick.

looks like R45 is out now too, that was quick ...

That's exactly what I have now, not updated since Feb 23.
Mine is going in for a service later this month, and they say they'll update the LKA thing, I'll know more after that.
Mine goes in on the 10th of March.

The "detailed" service description says they'll check for software updates and apply them if existent.

I doubt it very much but will see what they actually do.

There's nothing really "wrong " that i'd pay for, but smoother ELK/LKA would be appreciated I guess.

Nowadays I often can't be bothered turning it off on a long trip..but sometimes I still do.

The politics in MG AU now seem that you need to raise a fault issue with software in order for any update to be applied. Do not rely on them saying all updates will be applied. My local dealer actually lied to me gave alternate facts ( A Trumpian phrase) and said the ACC deceleration was a "design feature" to allow the car to achieve it's ANSCAP Rating. I guess my car now fails the safety rating.

No Fault reported = All is OK

The car is much more pleasant to drive since the updates.

I had the older AEB which you could not save the setting to LOW.
If I forgot on Medium it slam the brakes on, even on Low it did it a few times.

This was the reason they said they would do software updates.
Said they do AEB only although I know they did the cruise control as well, as it is now stepped by 1km.
No idea if anything else was done; was hoping the HVAC so 24°C is not 20°C, although summer has come and I have to set it to 24°C.

They must have completed all the up dates before we took delivery, coming up to 12 mths ago now, the temp seems fairly close to what is selected ....... the cruise control does 1km or 5 km increments, the LKA is just annoying, it doesn't take control as such, but it will move left every so often and then beep at me .... but I think that's just testing if I'm paying attention  or letting me know I haven't turned it off yet
I love it when it beeps at the wife when she's driving .... when I ask why it's ok for the car to comment about only being in your lane when you are crossing it, but I get an earful if I say anything .... to which I get an earful anyway  Me tapping the dash and telling the MG that it's ok, it's not your fault she can't drive between the lines .... doesn't seem to help matters either

the cruise control does 1km or 5 km increments
It always did, it's just the manner of selecting either 1 or 5 km/h increment has changed. Short or long presses on the up/down of the toggle.

Short press changes setting by 1 km/h / long press 5 km/h = newer software
Short press changes setting by 5 km/h / long press 1 km/h = older software

the LKA is just annoying, it doesn't take control as such, but it will move left every so often and then beep at me
That may or may not be the older software.

The newer version is far less intrusive and in particular doesn't not slow down when going round a modest curve in the road, older version would slow the car down for no good reason.

I only rarely get beeped at now. Before it was a constant annoyance and regular tugging of the steering when absolutely none was warranted, usually on unmarked or poorly marked country roads, the wirst was highway exit ramps it wanted to steer you towards when you just want to keep going down the highway. Sometimes attempting to take me across the centreline. It's like it would attempt to make up road markings where none existed.

I feel the new system decides to drop out of control mode unless it is more sure of the lane markings. It does not falsely respond to highway exits any more.

And that is the problem with MG as no OTA software it is all hidden.
Without connecting the car to a laptop with the correct software.
No one knows what version you are on. Apart from some certain things it changes.

We got the car ex demo was already 18 months old and they said all up to date.

Soon after the AEB slammed on, did it a few times. If I forget to turn off or not go to low. Even low it did it on silly things. Straight away you get mine does not do that. Must be you.
Then someone mentioned does it saved the low setting.
I said no it is always medium at startup.
They said that was the old software.

Same as the cruise control my short or long was 5km. Old software.

The other thing I know they changed was the One Pedal Driving was really aggressive. You take your foot off and it slow at least twice as aggressive as it does now. In the dry it was good.
The problem in the wet down hill if you too quick it end up locking up the back wheels and you slide.

Although all I have on invoice is the recall for AEB
